"my friend and I are both vegan and had heard good things about this bakery, so we decided to review it. we had a peach crumb, pear crumb, blueberry copper cake, dark chocolate latte and a latte macchiatio. they had also baked several chocolates. were available, but today the fruit options called us. everything was great! the woman who helped us was very friendly and helpful and spoke impeccable English. if they like coffee and chocolate, I recommend the dark chocolate latte, but I would also happily recommend all the others that we had. this place is all vegan except they have milk milk for coffee drinks, and the white chocolate latte also contains milk. I doubt, however, that a non-vegan/vegetarian would even realize that eating here was vegan. highly recommended for anyone who likes coffee or sweetness!"

"Ein sehr guter Thai im Veedel. Sehr schön eingerichtet, über zwei Etagen und ganz ohne den üblichen Charm eines Imbiss. Es erinnert eher an ein modernes Restaurant mit schönen Design-Holztischen und bequemen Stühlen. Die Karte enthält neben den üblichen Asiagerichten auch ein paar typisch thailändische Suppen und auch sehr leckere Salatkombinationen. Wenn man es etwas schärfer möchte, kann man das mit dem Personal absprechen. Ansonsten ist alles sehr lecker, fix zubereitet und preisgünstig. das Personal ist immer für einen Scherz zu haben und sehr freundlich. Um Missverständnisse bei Bestellungen zu vermeiden sollte man online bestellen. Klappt immer."

"Wir gingen mit großen Erwartungen an die Neueröffnung unseres Italieners =ehemals Eupener Hof und kamen doch enttäuscht zurück. Zuerst das Positive= sehr schön licht und modern eingerichtetes Lokal, überall Stoffservietten auf den Tischen, äußerst freundliche Bedienung inkl. des immer sehr positiv bemühten Padrone. Der Blick auf die (leider standardisierte) Speisekarte mit Fleischgerichten, deren Fleischmengen 200 bis 300 Gramm Portionen beinhaltete, ließ uns schon skeptisch werden. Also: Vorspeise und Pasta als Hauptgericht und später entscheiden, ob es noch ein Dessert gibt! Wir bestellten eine Tomatensuppe und eine Minestrone, sowie Spaghetti Carbonara auf echte ital. Art (also nur mit Ei und ohne die schreckliche deutsche Sahnesauce) sowie Penne mit Kalbbolognese.Beim Wein wollten wir den Hauswein wagen. Das ging total schief schmeckte wie Retsina im Eichenfass:-(. Wir ließen es zurückgehen und nahmen einen offenen Salento Bianco: leider auch hier Enttäuschung auf voller Breite, irgendwo waren da ein paar Sägespanne als Holzimitation im Geschmack dran vorbeigegangen:-(:-( .Trotzdem wurde tapfer ausgetrunken, wir wollten ja nicht schon wieder nörgeln. Die beiden Vorspeisen waren sehr gut, die Tomatensuppe schön sämig und die Minestrone sehr schmackhaft. Trotz der Wein-Enttäuschung wuchs unsere Vorfreude auf das nächste Gericht.Nun kamen unsere beiden Hauptgerichte: der Teller war bis zum Rand voll, vermutlich mindestens 200 bis 250 Gramm Nudeln! Wer soll das denn alles essen und es dann auch noch schön finden, so vollgestopft zu werden??? Und dabei schmeckten beide Gerichte sehr gut, aber nach der Hälfte der Menge gaben wir auf. Wir schauten uns um, alle anderen Tische hatten ähnlich volle Teller ! Ein Dessert war beim besten Willen nicht mehr drin, aber vielleicht nach der Weinenttäuschung noch ein Glas offenen Weiß-Wein? Leider auch hier voll daneben: der offenen Pino -Grigio war so geschmacklos, dass wir die Rechnung bestellten, wir hatten einfach genug. Auf Nachfrage hieß es vom Sohn des Inhabers, dass der in Küche kochende Bruder wohl an diesem Tag zu viel des Guten auf die Teller getan habe, normalerweise seien 150 Gramm Nudeln das Maß. Ok, wenn das so ist... Aber warum gibt es dann so riesige Fleischportionen, die heute keiner mehr will??.Uns schien das doch wohl eher eine Frage der Küchenphilosophie zu sein.Das Publikum des Restaurant bestand aus sehr vielen jungen Familien mit kleinen Kindern, alles sehr sympathisch. Wir hatten uns auf einen nette Abend beim netten Italiener gefreut: Aber Wein und Portionsmengen werden uns so schnell nicht noch mal dort hin bringen. Nun befindet sich das Lokal erst in der Anfangsphase seiner neuen Location. Es bliebe zu hoffen, dass die Familien Chiriciello noch mal einige Punkte ihrer Restaurant-Philosophie überdenkt::::"

This sushi restaurant is really small and closes quite early as well on a Saturday! However it's definitely worth a visit...if you love tasty traditional sushis and want to feel like you were eating them in Japan for a brief moment. Staff are real japanese they even write your order in Japanese!, very friendly, professional and serviceminded as in Japan! The menu offers a lot and at fair prices. We had the rice paper rolls as a starter and different inside out makis as a main dish. "We called in to make our reservation for persons and it was confirmed. Arriving at the agreed time the waiter told us he was going to check if there was availability. A lady in front of us had also made a reservation for they had told her the same. The place was packed and everybody had full plates. There was no chance we could be seated. The waiter told us to wait outside as he was going to check how long it was going ro take. We decided to leave and search for a place for persons. This restaurant just takes in reservations and does not care for people who count on the reservations made. Too bad.."

"Wir sind spontan an einem Sonntag Morgen um 10 Uhr zum Lokal gefahren. Wir hatten nicht reserviert und haben zum Glück direkt einen schönen Platz auf der oberen Etage bekommen, von der man einen tollen Überblick im Cafe hatte. Kurz darauf füllte sich das Cafe ziemlich schnell, es gab auch einige Reservierungen. Daher empfehle ich zur Sicherheit eine Reservierung vorzunehmen, besonders bei mehr als 2 Personen!Auf einer separaten Karte kann man ankreuzen, was man Frühstücken und Trinken möchte. Die Auswahl lässt keine Wünsche offen - im Gegenteil - wir konnten uns gar nicht entscheiden. Die Wahl viel auf das Große - sowie Kleine Frühstück und ein Omlette. Wir bekamen zum Frühstück tolle selbstgemachte Marmelade und Schokocreme, die Auswahl an Aufschnitt war ziemlich viel und die Teller waren sehr schön angerichtet. Das Essen war einfach lecker und toll, zudem war das Personal auch sehr freundlich! Wir kommen gerne wieder :)Tipp: Besonders Familien mit Kindern sind hier Herzlich Willkommen, es gibt auch eine kleine Spielecke!"

Der charmante Betreiber hat uns durch den schönen Abend liebevoll begleitet. "After living two years in Cologne and after all our visits during our holidays, Akira is certainly one of the best sushi restaurants we have been to. The menu is very varied, the drinks are also very good and the atmosphere is very enjoyable. The owners take great pride in their food and service and the quality is always consistent, no matter how many times you visit. I advise booking beforehand, as they seem to have very loyal customers, many tourists visiting and the restaurant is small. "Located near the Cologne trade fair and stadium this restaurant is understandably busy. They are also doing take-out/delivery and have a surprisingly small space (visiting the washroom requires a small journey to another part of the building through the kitchen). What upset me is that despite the extremely long wait time (+1hr) for a standard dish, the staff had the nerve to blame us for asking a question about the menu and taking too long to decide. Unfortunately the food was not worth the long wait and service. I will not go back, but due to the ideal location this restaurant will likely continue to be full."

"The place is worn down. When you walk in, the lobby looks nice and impressive. Once you enter the floors to the rooms, the carpets are badly stained. There’s a moldy smell to the hall and the carpets are so worn down, they partially covered...them with improvised pieces of other carpet pieces. The whole floor was bumpy, the suitcase had a hard time getting over the bumps, so we had to carry it. We booked this place especially because they offered a sauna and wellness area. When we asked where to find the area the staff at the reception told us, we didn’t book it and it is not included in our room booking. We were very surprised as we especially looked for a place with these facilities. We went to our room and checked our booking, to realize WE DID BOOK IT. We have screenshots of the listed services to prove it. We went back down to the reception to show them our booking. It’s THEN they told us, the wellness area is closed due to constructional work. So it doesn’t matter whether we booked it or not. We paid additional to get access to wellness on my wife’s birthday, we drove all the way to have a nice evening at that hotel to be fully disappointed. They said it must have been a mistake by Booking.com, as they state it very clearly on their website and we should’ve checked their website instead of relying on Booking.com. This was a very frustrating experience with Hotel NIKKO and we’ll not return to this place."

"I have been to many sushi restaurants in Köln and this is my favorite in town. All you can eat option is a little bit pricy (around 25-29 EUR) but the conveyor belt really has good varieties of sushi. They have a small buffet for...hot appetizers like chicken yakitori, spring rolls and miso soup and you can order extra from the menu without extra charge (for the All you can eat). My favourite is the sashimi salat with peanut sauce and rucola. Service is often rather fast I particularly appreciate it when it's busy. I would recommend to reserve online for weekend dinners as it really gets busy. You can do it online from quandoo.de."

"Looking for a good Mexican we got the hot tip El Inca. Located in the Belgian district, the restaurant is quite inconspicuous on a side street in the basement of an old building. Here it is typical Latin American decorated and decorated, you feel almost like in Mexico, olé!!! The chefs also seem to be real South Americans. Apart from the very friendly service, I would like to report on the unique taste experience: to the appetizer we had a wonderful guacamole, as you can find it in no bistro or chio chips glass, as well as warm, fresh tortillias that make addiction. To the main course I ordered a Fajita with salad, vegetables beef. Oh, man, that was so fucking tasty, juicy and spicy... and so tired. For dessert, I ordered a fruit cocktail. I saw the waiter cut fresh fruits behind the bar and mix, then passionately arranged. The cocktail didn't just look good, he also brought my palate to sleep and me to perfect satisfaction:"
