Cardamomo Persian Palace

Tutti dovrebbero davvero provare questo posto. È un tesoro a Como. Il cibo ha veramente un sapore fatto in casa. Il locale è autentico e accogliente.

Il cibo era molto autentico e assolutamente delizioso, anche se il ristorante è una combinazione di negozio e di tutto un po'- ma accogliente e disponibile.

Te' molto esotici, antipasti mai visti prima (tra l'altro viviamo a Chicago, di solito siamo piuttosto viziati) e piatti principali erano vitello+pistacchio+una salsa meravigliosa; e pollo+mandorle+ciliegia. Notevole. Ottimo arredamento e servizio caloroso. Visualizza piatti

My husband and I visited this beautiful restaurant whilst on holiday in Lake Como. As vegans it can be quite tricky to find things to eat, but Cardamomo Persian Palace had lots of options. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully. A real gem

It doesn't look like a place in the heart of historic Como and you could easily get the feeling of being in a small café in Tehran. It is only one room with a few tables and can be a good place for a romantic dinner! The waitress is very friendly and the food was well presented and full of flavours...cardamom, roses, saffron, cinnamon come through the different dishes.

Definitely an interesting place and a different food experience. The starter was great, some cucumber with tomato mix with prezzemolo and mint. Also the starter of the house was really good, their bread with some carrot jam and coconut yoghurt. The mains were okay but I was expecting something testier, we got one chicken with orange sounce, almonds and the other was with mushroom and figs. The one with orange was tastier, less weird. We popped in for dinner because it was located next to our apartment and were surprised at the food. Never having eaten Persian food before, we really enjoyed the unusual menu. Anti pasta is not much just dips with a kind of dried bread which they call “nan”. For seconda piatta we had the lamb in walnut sauce with potatoes and the sea bass omelette and both were carefully prepared and well presented. The bill was a bit steep 96 euros for two courses and wine but I recommend a visit if you are in that part of town. The decor is also interesting with many Persian artifacts.

The place is situated not far from the city centre, in a small corridor of an empty street. The place offers mainly teas(pots and some Persian/Western styles cakes that where nice, but quite expensive. The small place is styled with what it tries to be an Persian atmosphere, mainly referring towards the old empire such as the cups and the paintings on the wall. The place is small, and in the evening I have seen on the card that it offers some dishes (where many of them are vegan/vegetarian friendly as well to; although the tables are small and I am not so sure if food for two can be on one table as the dishes of my fellow table people did not hold the table :

Terrible as it probably is to say I had become rather fed up with Italian food so was really looking forward to something different, especially as it is food I typically love. There was nothing wrong with the food and it was very well presented. I had some issues though. The restaurant lacked any kind of atmosphere although there were people at a few other tables. It was one of those places that was so quiet it all felt a little awkward. It is also seemed half restaurant/half shop. Service was dreadfully slow with seemingly no recognition of that fact. Prices were a little high. I really wanted to love this place and I really hope they can make a success of it but at the moment it is hard to... Visualizza piatti
