The atmosphere is pleasant enough and the garden is attractive, but the menu was surprisingly short (3 main course options only, plus a small number of specials). The four of us have tried several of these dishes, and were disappointed in their blandness. Maybe this place is great as a tea house (we have not tried the teas), but the food is clearly inferior to the other Asian restaurants we have sampled in Berlin."

Geheimtipp im Hinterhof!Super! Sehr nettes Personal. Tolle Speisen. Tolle Atmosphäre. Unbedingt ausprobieren: Hausgemachte Limonenlimonade.

Bra mat och mycket att välja på. Autentiska smaker av någon som verkligen vet vad det gör. Bra drink lista men lite få viner att välja på. Rekommenderas varmt. Lite svårt att hitta (man går in i en port bredvid Granit affären)

Bon restaurant vietnamien avec une carte assez variée et des prix raisonnables. Ambiance exotique assurée grâce au jardin extérieur, service sympathique et (très, trop ?) rapide (nous avions à peine fini notre bouillon en entrée que l'on nous apportait déjà le plat principal). Adresse semblant assez réputée dans le quartier vu le monde qui y défile.

My friend and I went to Berlin for few days and thought that this place will be a good restaurant. It took us 40 minutes to go to Chen Che and our diner was just whithout any interest. The food is tasteless and the atmosphere not very nice. We've even seen a mouse walking near us in the garden ! Berlin is full of very goods vietnameses restaurants but Chen Che is not in this list !

The first impression of the restaurant is nice. Hidden from the busy street that you had the feeling as if you where in Vietnam.But when you make the first step into this place you will be attack of the heavy incense like it gives you a punch in the face. The food was too salty, not totally fresh and even the food taste like incense. Too bad because the place really looks vietnamese authentic.

Das einfach eingerichtete Lokal besticht mit einem authentischen Charakter und - beim guten Wetter - sehr schönem Garten. Die Speisekarte ist kurz gehalten, alle Speisen (wir hatten gebratene Frühlingsrollen, einen Glasnudelsalat mit Garnelen, einen Salat mit Rindfleisch) sind frisch und lecker. Die Bedienung könnte einen Tick schneller reagieren. Alles in einem eine ordentliche Leistung zum guten Preis.

This is the first review I ever write, but it's gotta be done. This place looks promising, packed with people and a nice atmosphere . The food however was a disgrace to Vietnamese cuisine, way to salty and very fatty, my Vietnamese vegetable broth tasted like tomato soup with vermicelli! And overall it was just very salty, didn't have more than two bites. Also you can only pay with visa or cash and a very very rude girl in service. Paid 50 euros for this bad meal. Don't let the cute bowls and decor fool you.

They always suffered from indifferent service and chipped crockery, but the the nice garden courtyard at the back and pretty decent food made it an acceptable choice. This time, the food was far below acceptable - none of those fresh, herbal, crispy sensations that make Vietnamese cuisine what it is. Another joke was the beer - only Carlsberg and Tiger on the menu, but the Carlsberg wasn't cold according to our waitress. These are the same people who own District Mot across the street - perhaps they have cold beer over there?
