"Whilst in France we were taken by friends to Chez Eric. Sitting outside on a creaky balcony in a small mountain top village on a wonderful balmy summer evening has to be the most delightful of settings but unfortunately my food did not live up...to the promise. My starter of courgette flower stuffed with Corsiscan cheese followed by a main consisting of a very small piece of tasteless fish and a few insipid vegetables were not inspiring. However, my husband a friends fared much better, the men doing particularly well with starters than included foi gras de canard and jambon cru with succulent lamb to follow. As the wine also gave me a headache it was not the best evening for me (apart from the ambiance and the company), but I think this is a restaurant that should be tried if you are in the area."

Loved the singer, entertaining us all night. The dinner came very slow after the appetizers, we have to ask several times....

We were staying with friends in Cereste when they took us to this little gem. Thoroughly recommended, great food and an excellent wine list.

Great food great wine phenomenal views and great service with charm. Far too much and left me somewhat over fed but very well worth it. And the local pink wine from Braque was just fabulous.

In this eastern part of Luberon, Chez Eric stands out for its great ambiance, the warmth of everyone working there (Eric included) and very good local food. Eric's previous career was a butcher, so go for one of the meat dishes and a to-die-for gratin...that comes with it. Top it up with the local red from La Blaque just down the hill.

we ate on a busy Saturday in summer outside on the terrace, and there was the main problem. the tables are very close to each other and the shady inadequate – another table of the guests had to move in because the sun was too strong. The service was a bit hurried, and the wine list was limited; also our heel was not so promised. eating is okay, but nothing special. overall disappointing.

an excellent meal. as 2 of us had appetizers 3 of us not, the restaurant offered the 3 with small tomatensalate to keep the 3 alive while waiting a nice note. my head was braised pig cheek, that was the very delicate meat I had long time, I had not with my knife. the appetizers were delicious the wine list quite extensive. service was cheerful efficient. the cost seemed appropriate for the quality of the foods provided. in mid-september there was the choice to eat outside on the terrace or inside. a delightful evening, then we will be back in the next in the luberon.

what can I say, I enjoyed the meal and the evening. such a beautiful place to dinate. I have nothing negative to say except thank you to the restaurant team and especially the kitchen team. my family also enjoyed grinding there, but thought. that was dessert was a little disappointment, they chose the tout chocolat and was told that it was a fondant chocolate, unfortunately it was not sweet in the inner, as I can imagine that they were disappointed. it has not stopped us to have a pleasant evening. we will definitely return when we come back to visit our family. again

We have come back to Chez Eric"several times lately.Of course Montfuron remains Montfuron : the windmill, the cosy, sleepy little village with the large parking space. And so is Chez Eric-luckily so.The terrace and the inside dining room are of course unchanged and the same is true of...the food :imaginative, prepared with a very professional touch, well presented and served up in a sober but pleasant manner. The wine list is a nice complement to the Menu suggestions.Chez Eric has now a well deserved reputation in the Forcalquier-Manosque region and is clearly worth the detour. But beware you might find a full house if you arrive without making an advance booking.
