We had a very relaxed spanish and autentic dinner Chez Freddy. Our paellas came very fresh and the taste was wonderful. Looking around i believe all paellas looked great, seafood lobster, chicken and seafood paella. The service was very friendly. The choice of wines perfect. I was with my spanish friend and she fully agreed.

Really decent food. Great variety and different from the usual Cannes cuisine. Best of all is the service, which is exceptionally different from the usual in Cannes, especially if Lilou is serving you. Sense of humor and great tolerance for tourist requests and non-French orders and request. Can only recommend going there. We were US and South African table

If I could I would give zero! We felt unwelcome as soon as entered...Extremely unfriendly and rude to tourists, not only the staff but also the french diners on table beside us.... it got so unbearable, we had to leave half way through meal... we felt we couldn't even look up from our meal because of the persistent hostility! We didn't get what we ordered and what we did get was inedible, they then tried to charge us too much and we even had to threaten to call police because of their hostility and overcharging... we left extremely upset and will never return to cannes again because of this, our experience was ruined! We had 3 course for 25 euro at dinner time. So for cannes this is a fantastic deal! Also the reduced menu has a reasonable amount of choice.To start we had complimentary drink. Oysters and Parma ham as starters nice and very fresh. For mains we had salmon and skate wing. Both very well cooked and the salmon was so crispy which was nice. This was served with, ratatouille, rice, stuffed crispy tomatoes and plenty of lemon. Perfect! Just enough room for dessert. Apple tart and creme brulee. Both very nice and sweet. As a party of nine we are not easy to seat but the management and staff at Chez Freddy were great, a wonderful table outside with attentive and prompt service. A venue used regularly by our friends and did not let them or us down.We had the house specialty of paella in all it's guises of fish and chicken plus chicken and rabbit. I had the fritto misto to satiate my need for calamari and the kids had lasagne and spaghetti bolognese. Having arrived in Cannes too late for many restaurants it was great to see that "Chez Freddy" was offering "Service Non-Stop" as we had eaten here on numerous occasions over previous visits some years ago. However, it was soon clear to me that the establishment must have changed hands; gone was the help-yourself buffet of amazing home-made starters, featuring beautiful prawns, smoked salmon, oysters etc all heaped on ice with fresh salads and delicious chunks of savoury tarts...a glorious memory now replaced with a menu book, although a "formule" was advertised.
