"My Nice friends have told me not to review this place as it will only get too busy and then be packed out by tourists. But I think the secret is now out. This really is the locals, local. The menu is significantly left field in order to fox the tourists. No salad nicoise, no steak tartar or boring pizza and pasta dishes. In fact I honestly believe the menu is purposefully odd in order to put off tourists. Several dishes I had to ask for an interpretation and I usually know my way around a menu.Yes, its exceptionally cheap and cheerful. The owner is a character and worth a visit just to experience his persona. Carefullly check out the artworks on the walls and you may even see more of the owner than you bargained for!The decor is at first haphazard even derelict. But upon closer inspection you realise there is method in the madness of this oh so quirky restaurant. I just love it."

Chez moi is wonderful. Delicious food and very quirky decor. Owner and staff provide the entertainment also.

Been here three times now, there is a small but interesting menu and wine list, the quality of whatever you choose is always excellent, the decor is groovy and the staff have a friendly eccentricity about them. The value for money is exceptional.

We came to this place very late but owner welcomed us very warmly. The menu consists of 3 dishes: entree, main and dessert. All of this cost us 18€ each. The glass of home wine 3.5 €. Food was delicious, felt every taste and pease of it. The atmosphere was peacefull and relaxing.

This is a very ketch place eclectic decor ,but the food is like home made, not a big choice,but whatever they serve you is good small portions but satisfying I recommend reservations, even that they don't want to attract the big crowd ,it's pleasant and friendly and it's very good quality price

On our way back from the seeside we stumbeld in to this odd eating hole in the wall. The interior is a mish mash of everything and nothing, new and different things meet the eyes all the time. The three-course menue was 18 euro, and what we picked from the chalkboard was more then perfect both in taste and composition. This is a place to go to once in a while. We like'd the experience and we suggest that you try it.

Trip Advisor reviews were wildly inaccurate about this restaurant. The food was awful. We started off with bread drizzled with balsamic. Yuck. Ordered Chicken Ala Rolande since reviewers liked it. It was the skinniest chicken roasted with a nasty sauce. Even the lemon tart was lousy. We had to go get a pizza after this meal. I am so sorry I wasted our money, but most importantly, our time for great French foods on this terrible restaurant.

We couldn't be more happy when Chez Moi suddenly appeared in search of a restaurant for the evening. We loved the interior and the great atmosphere. I believe this is the best meal of spareribs I have ever had, and it was lovely to find a menu that didn't include pizza margarita. The hosts welcomed us with kindness and humor and were truly wonderful people who the time to talk with every customer. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everybody.

Typically you would not expect to find a Restaurant in Nice, Côte d'Azur, where you can have a three course dinner for 15,00€. Second you would not expect that the dinner is outstanding. I had Crudites Sumule as a starter, very fresh and delicous, Chicken à la Roland (the chef) with never tasted before delicious potatoes and delicious pieces of chicken, after I had a soup of fresh fruit, delicious. As I had tasted the Tarte de Citroen of my friends I ordered an additional desert. Service - with a little French Côte d'Azur attitude and adorable.
