"Very disappointing! We were looking forward to eating on this mythical terrace in Pully, but the service was bad and the food was average. On the service side they were completely disorganized, although only a few tables to serve, we waited at least 20 minutes for the bill, the cook was rude with customers and screamed at his wife over the terrace. As far as food is concerned, we had all the Filet de Perches who used to be a classic. It came with a salad from a pocket with zero creativity. The fish was ok, but not crispy enough and something too salty. Despite the great situation, I'm not sure I'm returning."

Come to pitch!!! Always fresh food. A great boss and a breathtaking view of the lake.

We came as a group of 3 my dog, very warm welcome and attentive waiters. We were presented with fresh sea bass (fish), the cooking very well mastered! I recommend !

Beautiful and high quality, I recommend highly and will come back as often as possible . Important point as the restaurant used local fishermen and the desserts are home made

Everything's great! Fish dishes are near the lake, the owner welcomes you personally, and the participants are just the most beautiful and attentive I was served by. Very recommended! Oh, and the terrace is great in summer!

Lovely restaurant We ate valentines dinner at this sweet restaurant on lake Leman. Beautiful service, great food. We had an absolutely wonderful evening and I was given a long stemmed rose at the end of the evening. Highly recommend!

Among the best filets de perches in the city! I love the Pommes! There are other dishes like meat, but this place is known for its fillets de perches. Nice and intimate place at the lake in Pully. Service is very good, hospitable. On the bottom it is a bit too expensive.

Rude Chef, started already on the phone. Rude to his staff and clients we heard that within the same evening he fired majority of his staff. Totally disorganised. Totally overpriced for poor served food. Wine card prices far from reality and then part of wines not even available. Not again chef needs to change otherwise it was my last time at such a sweet corner at Pully Port.

We waited to sit for 10 minutes while the server went three times ignored us and we are told that there is no service anymore, not even for a coffee. We were with our baby and it was an hour before closing that they refused us a coffee while there were three tables available. This is neither fair treatment nor customer-oriented. Very bad service skills from the owner who came so late to let us know that he decided not to take more orders an hour before closing time. Not recommended.

Atmosphere and service that leaves something to be desired... the owner speaks or rather yells to his servers across the entire terrace, we don't need to know what all the other tables are ordering! (A style that the boss must perhaps give himself) We weren't the only ones who found this disturbing/weird. To conclude, we are asked for 150g or 200g for perch fillets, telling us that we must order the same quantity, for which reason you have to explain to me. And still happy that at this price, it is stipulated on the ticket that the salad is free! The perch fillets were at least good for this high price.

"Au Charbon is family managed restaurant, set in a pleasant and quiet part of Lausanne, easily reached on the bus, if like me, you are touring. The restaurant is ‘cosy’ and the owners have maximised the number of seats available, which sounds like me...spinning a cramped venue but it actually works out okay. We had sufficient room to relax and eat without imposing on our neighbouring tables, so the efficient spacing added to the atmosphere and the wine waiter added character. The restaurant has a traditional pizzeria menu with no surprises with the choice of pizza, steaks etc. All our choices were well presented, cooked exactly to request and delicious. Portion sizes were just right too On the down side, the table service was very slow, it took around an hour for the first course and one dish was wrong when it eventually arrived but we put that down to being busy. The lady serving was also a bit too presumptuous that the change from the bill would be her tip and she didn’t return the change, eventually coming back to confirm if this was so. In summary, I enjoyed my meal and time at Au Charbon, they seem to have earned their reputation from being consistent in serving nicely presented dishes that are cooked well. The higher end options are a bit on the pricey side if you are on holiday, especially when considering this is a pizzeria (a steak costing CHF). However most restaurants of this type in Lausanne are similarly priced and it is what it is."
