China Jade - Piatti

The food at this restaurant is excellent. Our order was prepared quickly, packed well, and arrived hot, just as we requested. The smoked chicken dish is especially delicious! This Chinese restaurant is one of the best in the area. It's a great option for a Sunday night takeout.

A chinese take-away is a bit of a ritual of ours on Christmas Eve. This is the first time we had tried China Jade and we will definitely be returning soon. Good portion sizes. The chicken in the sweet sour balls was good quality meat. Delicious fried rice very tasty prawn toasts.

Ordered a big order missed a veggie dish clearly ordered one as have one family member who is a veggie and paid for it called to tell them they denied we ordered it. Chicken was dry and re-fried same with the prawns. Said the order would be ready in 10mins which was a slight red flag from the start. Everything looked old and not fresh at all! China Jade is a fantastic place to enjoy tasty, delightful Chinese cuisine. I must say, they serve the most amazing, heavenly salt and pepper chips that truly delighted my taste buds. I highly suggest visiting this restaurant as the owners are wonderful and my good friend Tony Cheung works there. I will always cherish my time at China Jade as I will be relocating to Mongolia soon. Thank you very much.

I have been using this chinese for over 25 years tonight will be my last. I should have realised something was wrong when instead of 3-4 large spring rolls i opened a bag of at least 8 overcooked micro rolls, more rolls than spring i can tell you. Then my main one word bland without the usual meat or vegatables. I havn't even bothered eating most of it. A huge disappointment and not the treat that i had expected.

We have ordered takeout from this restaurant before and it was decent, but tonight's experience was completely disappointing. We ordered two chicken dishes with chips and plain rice. The chicken tasted as if it had been cooked days ago and reheated, with a greasy batter coated in a strange red sauce, and the chips tasted stale. See my review posted June 2022. Well, now it is May 2023 and I reluctantly decided to order another take out. And I was shocked!!! Shocked in the good sense. The dishes I ordered were absolutely delicious. I ordered special foo yung great amount of different meats, still very succculent and not dried out at all. Only criticism there wasn't enough egg. However, it was a lovely dish. The second dish ordered was the Singapore Vermicelli Noodles. Again, absolutely flavoursome. And the meat again was succulent, juicy and lots of it. This fine establishment is simply the most deliciously tasteful flavorful and scrumptious Chinese food yard in the world. The new kind caring careful helpful handsome wise owners have turned this place from a disgusting terrible awful dreadful demobilizing dusty restaurant in to a uplifted and elevated Chinese experience. The old owners were amazing! Food was incredible. Better than some of the restaurant foods. I was told the chef was from Maxi's Chinese restaurant in town so no wonder the food was amazing. But the new owners have let the food go. I ordered three different dishes. All just lacked flavour. Like as if they had watered down the sauces so they could get more bang for their buck. And the meat was not velvetised (i.e. not tender) but quite rubbery. This is my local Chinese takeaway and I used to love it.
