"This is the nearest coffee shop to my new place of work. I was very pleasantly surprised. I asked if they offered soya milk and they responded that they did, along also with oat, almond and coconut milk. That was the first pleasant surprise. I asked if I could use my own takeaway cup and they said that not only was that fine, but also that there would be a discount on the price of the drink for doing so. Second pleasant surprise. I had read other reviews that stated that service was slow on account of only one person serving and that preferential treatment had been observed for council employees. On my visit I witnessed none of this. (Three employees behind the counter) . A very enjoyable experience and one that I will be repeating."

The service at this restaurant is top-notch. The coffee is ridiculously good and it is always worth taking a slight detour on our way home to stop here. We love every single visit!

Tried a few bacon rolls on my morning walk with my baby boy and this was by far the best! Crispy bacon and lots of it! Very friendly staff and nice relaxing atmosphere, been recommending to all my friends!

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was greeted warmly with a friendly atmosphere. The coffee and cakes were excellent and the seating was relaxed with nice decor. I will definitely be coming back again. Visualizza piatti

Having read a few reviews, I had reasonable expectations for this coffee shop. Unfortunately I got poorly made coffee served too hot and with not much flavour. The Pain au Raisin was quite dry, so overall not a great experience.

If the staff could muster a modicum of urgency to serve customers, l think l would go into shock!! Do they think:that part of the “cool” experience is to wait in the queue and what the slow-mo activities of the servers? The coffee and sanwiches are quite god though.

I have said it before and will say it again, Cool Beanz is without a doubt the best coffee shop in Ipswich. Fantastic food, great coffee and it's staffed by a wonderful group of people. Don't expect a fast food fast drink place, food is made to order and drinks are made properly and not rushed. 10 out of 10... Visualizza piatti

I wish I could say above average but in all honesty can’t. Nice friendly place. Not a lot of choice .Food hot and pleasant.Salad a good idea to dress panini but dry, tired and very small..Certainly not expensive but am afraid can not think of any other attributes.Obviously popular as a constant que at the till. That could be due to ifs position next to Ipswich Crown Court where they have no food fascilities.

The coffee at this place is outstanding! It has the cozy feel of a neighborhood coffee shop, but the quality surpasses that of major national chains. Their Chai Latte is a delightful surprise as well. It truly makes starting the workday something to anticipate. The staff is friendly and wonderful, especially Jimmi (apologies if I spelled that wrong), who never fails to make me and my colleagues laugh on a Monday morning. This is no small accomplishment!

"Checking in to a hotel in an unfamiliar place, it is tempting to book one 's first evening meal in the hotel 's restaurant (unless, of course, one has had chance to research the alternatives beforehand . This may seem a safe option, but is often a mistake, as it was on my visit to Ipswich. Had I only known that a minute 's walk along the quayside would have taken me to Mariners, I should have eaten there twice rather than only once! A floating restaurant can often prove to be a bit of a gimmick, but Mariners seemed to get good reviews so, on night two, I gave it a try. A beautifully restored and maintained Dutch customs gunboat from 1900, with gleaming brass and polished woodwork, the restaurant offers a limited, but well-constructed, menu to satisfy most tastes. Being aboard a boat, I opted for seafood, and was not disappointed. There being an R in the month , mussels were a good choice for my starter, followed by a seafood skewer , presented with just enough theatre to be amusing but not over the top. Not fine dining , perhaps, but well-prepared, nicely presented and very satisfying dishes at reasonable prices. A limited wine list, perhaps a bit on the pricey side, but the Picpoul de Pinet proved to be an excellent accompaniment without over-stressing the credit card. Service struck just the right balance between politeness and friendliness. My fellow diners embraced the whole age spectrum (I was by far the oldest! weighted perhaps towards the younger end, the common factor being that everyone (myself included was clearly enjoying themself. There are many other dining venues along the Ipswich quayside that my brief visit did not allow me to try, but Mariners can be recommended as a safe and enjoyable bet."
