We went for a girlie afternoon tea. The sandwiches were very tasty, the scones and cream were delicious and the cup cakes were to die for. All in all a very pleasant experience. Definitely worth it

The service was excellent. However, the teacup I received was stained. Other than that, the scone was warm and delicious, served with clotted cream, and the ambiance was wonderful. It was a lovely visit, and I would definitely return.

The cheese and pickle sandwich was overwhelmed by the pickles and contained hard, plastic-like grated cheese. The chicken mayo sandwich was quite bland. On a positive note, the scones were nice and fresh, served with jam and clotted cream. We also had a piece of chocolate cake, a cupcake, and two macaroons. The tea and coffee were enjoyable, but we had to ask for plates and cutlery, and no one checked on us to see if everything was okay or offered us refills. My wife and I were given a groupon voucher for a Luxury afternoon tea as a special surprise gift. Booking was straight forward with open table website, this I would recommend. We booked for 13.00 Monday this week, our table was ready, only two other tables were occupied so were seated immediately. Staff were very courteous and obliging and took our order straight away, on viewing the close vicinity of our table, the table next to us had been recently vacated so was laden with empty pots which were cleared after about 10 minutes and quickly wiped over, leaving a large smear of stale dessert along the edge of the table, possibly not from the last customers judging by the cleaning expertise.
