Just had a couple of drinks here after a meal nearby in bawtry. Lovely friendly staff and great location. We sat outside people watching whilst keeping warm with the wall mounted heater. Prices ok though not the cheapest around but everything seems expensive at the moment so might be the same as everywhere else now. Service: 5 Location: 5

Nothing bad about the rooms, just nothing special about them. Clean and comfortable space, showers are a tad dated but did the job, beds were really comfortable. The view outside the window was a building site but not much can be done about that. Breakfast was nice and had great service from the waitress. Lovely little hotel Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5

Booked a two night stay here, while attending a wedding in August 2023. The food service generally, were quite acceptable. However the quality of room offering was decidedly sub-standard. We had a standard double (208) which had a mattress that was the least comfortable I have ever slept on pillows that should have long since been disposed of. General finishes within the room were poor. Not 4 star by any stretch of any ones imagination!! Rooms: Poor quality dated!!

I visited the restaurant in July/August 2023. The food was decent but nothing exceptional, while the service was honestly quite disappointing. When we arrived, a table of six women celebrating a birthday was already in a heated discussion with the manager about their poor service, which should have been a red flag for us. I decided to give the place another shot on November 3, 2023, but unfortunately, the service has not improved at all—it remains very subpar. I won't be returning. Overall Rating: 3/10.

We are local to Bawtry so already know of the value the Crown brings to the town . That said we decided to try their breakfast yesterday and found a place on the terrace area . We were very impressed both by the food and the friendly efficient service from Amelia . She was a credit to the Crown so much so I wanted to mention her by name in this review . It’s easy to walk away and not bother offering feedback but we all (4 of us) had been impressed by her. I had the English breakfast and my wife had the Eggs Royale both were very good .
