Popped in this afternoon for lunch with my parents who travelled down from Newcastle to visit. We were all so impressed by this pub, the service was extremely friendly and the food was just divine. We’ll definitely be back!

After walking in the Howardian Hills we stopped here and were lucky enough to get a table outside in the sun. We were also lucky enough to visit in the launch day of a new menu. Very high quality menus and food to match. Very friendly staff and a well run business. Will definitely visit again.

Absolutely wonderful place to eat. Sunday roast was great, Beef, Pork, Chicken spot on. Yorkshire pudding fresh and crispy, roast potato's golden and fluffy. Veg and gravy faultless Absolutely delicious puddings, staff are so polite and nothing is too much trouble, definitely recommend highly.

Came for lunch a few days ago, ordered the Wagyu' burger, expecting a nice thick juicy patty. What I received were two very thin patties which you would expect to find in a fast food restaurant, which were dry and overcooked. The thick chips were good however. Nice outdoor setting with a covered section in the back, and quick friendly service. At for a burger I wouldn't return again.

My family booked a table to celebrate my 70th birthday with 10 guests. First ever visit to this establishment and were we impressed. It was a busy Sunday lunch period but the staff were amazing and soon got us settled and seated and they had even helped to decorate the table with family requests. The meal was just beautiful and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Wonderful atmosphere and can recommend a visit.

Called here for lunch , the pub is a lovely pub traditional with a nice feel and decor . service was good and pleasant staff . I had pie which came with a substantial amount of veg included in the price I get fed up of food coming with nothing and you have to order sides to make into a meal the pie was lovely pastry excellent my other half had a salad pro Covid diet lol it was substantial and beautifully presented I would definitely recommend if you are passing call , I will be going back and I look forward to going .
