Cubley Hall - Menu

Disappointing visit to the Cubley Carvery. Tiny portion of meat, rock hard vegetables and potatoes to the point of being almost inedible. The bread rolls served were also solid. We ate half , paid and went home. The Carvery used to be amazing. Sadly will...not go back. Thankfully the bar food is still great!

We went for an afternoon of food and drinks with some friends that have not been before. We get married here in December so wanted to show off the venue, as we love it. We love it here. Food was fab and drinks were great....A couple of hours turned into Looking forward to the wedding but we will be back before then

Staff are super friendly. Bedrooms look to be newly refurbished and bed was super comfy. Really quiet at night so great sleep. Bar area is nicely laid out and Black Sheep on tap. Didn’t have dinner but seeing the dinners being delivered they looked good....Breakfast was good quality. Can highly recommend as great value for money.

We visited this restaurant for lunch on Boxing Day and had a fantastic meal. The staff were amazing and handled a minor issue with our order professionally and courteously. The food was delicious and we had generous portions, enough to take home with us. For starters, we enjoyed Nachos and Chicken wings, and for our main courses, we had Scampi and a Ham and Cheese sandwich. We felt well taken care of and will definitely return when we are back in Yorkshire.

At Thursday i was told to choose any table that wasn't reserved. After choosing a table and sitting down I was told to move from that table because it was reserved from The waitress then proceeded to put reserve stickers on every table....After buying drinks and ordering food , in basically an empty restaurant we waited over for burgers to be cooked. . Only to be asked if we had ordered food. minutes our order was still at the back of the bar waiting to be sent into the kitchen. Absolutely horrific management and service.

We stayed here for two nights whilst attending a wedding locally. The room and ensuite were very clean and modern. We had a meal on the first evening in the restaurant which was very nice. Breakfast was very good with a good selection but the...jewel in Cubley Hall's crown is their staff who were mostly young but were very friendly and polite and couldn't do enough for us and a big shout out to Josh the Manager who was always there to ask if there was anything else you needed or to check if we were happy with the food. Will definitely be returning.

We made a reservation for lunch for five people and were warmly greeted upon arrival. We were seated at our table and had a difficult time choosing from the extensive menu and specials board. We placed our orders at the bar, and I decided on the meat and potato pie with short crust pastry, chips, and mushy peas. The pie was delicious and the chips were cooked perfectly. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals as well. We were too full for dessert, but I would highly recommend Cubley Hall and will definitely return, possibly for their Sunday carvery. Thank you to the staff for a great afternoon.

Visited the barn today for a sunday lunch with some friends. Not quite sure where to begin but the food was just bad. I had the “pate” as a starter, it tasted of nothing and the salad on the side looked dry and old ..I practically left it all. The prawn starter was just as bad, cheap disgusting prawns that were the size of the tip of my little finger. My main steak- for literally a mediocre steak that was so dry I had to drink to eat it, served with some mushrooms and no sauce or other side. My other half had the salmon as a main, again literally just some supermarket salmon with nothing to go with it. All in all pretty poor. I ordered a burger which was served on a wooden board without any garnish or fries, for which I had to pay extra. The room was decent, but not luxurious as advertised. The double bed was small and uncomfortable for tall people. The bathroom radiator was broken and constantly emitting heat, making the room very hot. When I tried to make coffee in the morning, I found there was no milk or teaspoons, but the staff promptly sent supplies when I called reception. We were informed that breakfast ended at a time that was not convenient for us, and we were not offered any alternatives. Comparing this experience to a recent stay at a Premier Inn for half the price, we had a much better night's sleep...
