"While shopping in Redditch my family member and I decided to have lunch. As we were closest to Debenhams we thought we would give the cafe a try. Wished we hadn't bothered. I ordered the turkey and stuffing pie that came with vegetables and roast potatoes and my family member ordered a portion of chips as their was nothing else they liked the look of. When my pie came my heart sank. The pie was burnt in the edge, the sprouts were obviously the vile frozen variety and so were the roasted potatoes. I opened the pie up and found tiny pieces of meat in a greasy clear liquid with a small lump of pork stuffing. I removed the stuffing and found it looked pink and undercooked. I tasted one sprout and it was hard and cold but had a slimy texture to it, the roast were so dry I had to have a sip of my lemonade just to be able to swallow the lump of potato. I complained and got my money back, my family member ate their small bowl of chips. We also waited nearly 30 minutes to be served our awful food. Wouldn't go back as food was over priced and horrible. Avoid."

Delicious coffee shop in Debenhams Store, Redditch! But, it is too expensive. Overall, a great coffee shop, but it is just far too expensive!!!

Standard coffee shop prices with pleasant seats by the window. Sometimes do Groupon offers which give better value for money. Good size standard coffees and tea, but cakes rather expensive.

I went for a breakfast it was really nice tasting the 10 item breakfast. Not badly priced either. The only let down was the hot chocolate you can barely taste it, its more water then anything. I would deffo go again :

Whilst shopping in Debenhams I found myself famished so popped in for a sandwich and coffee.i chose the ham hock and mustard on brown grane4y bread,I have to say it was very tastey.along with a good strong cappuccino, it hit the spot.

Visited the restaurant for lunch today, only plus is the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is very poor, dry quiche with dry vegetables and served in a very unappetising way. A jacket potato with cheese was almost cold and piled on a plate in the manner of a lay-by stall.

Turned up at 12.20, asked for three childrens carvers for the poor waitress to apologise for the lack of carvery available. Didn't even get round to asking for the adult meals.I mention the time because the carvery didn't start until 11.45.She said they'd been busy, but the cafe was largely empty.Couldn't have had very big joints to start with!

Quickly popped in for a breakfast sandwich and drink. They've made some changes to sitting to fit more in, i think i preferred the booths. The food was good but i always seem to have issues with cappuccino, its mostly froth and very little coffee. Will try once more, maybe a 1 off.Service was good on this occasion but at busy times it can be a little slow.

Looking for a reasonably priced lunch in Stratford at the hight of the tourist season can be difficult. However ,Debenhams cafe ,in the town centre ,is very good value for money. The cafe provides tea, coffee, fruit juice and soda. They also provide very tasty baked potatoes. We particularly liked the beef chilli potatoes. They are freshly-made to order.Service is fast and pleasant.Prices are very reasonable.Drop in next time you are in Stratford!

Quick stop for a coffee on a Sunday afternoon.Poor coffee. I 've had better coffees here before. My daughter spilt her squash all over the floor under the table so we moved tables and I reported it to a member of staff that couldn 't be arsed to do anything about it. It took a 2nd customer to report it for it to be attended to.Finally, went back up to the counter to get a little extra milk where the restaurant manager was serving another customer. She was clearly busy but totally blanked me until she was ready to deal with me. In my opinion this was bad customer service... A bit of eye contact and a brief be with you in a moment would have gone a long way but I was made to feel that I was inv...

"Attended: Sunday 9/10/22 2 pm. Just a quick point about the actual website. It is really geared to events, and open at varying times for Sunday lunch. So, I couldn't actually find a menu. Moving on.... I told the restaurant that I couldn't have cheese in or on my food. They checked with me regarding the certain meals, which was good. Friendly welcome, and great staff. The venue lovely. We all went for the Sunday roast, except my daughter. I'll list the items, and leave the niggles at the end. 1 x Le Serre, Chardonnay £24.50 3 x Cokes 330ml 7.50 1 x pink Flamingo Cocktail £9.50 1 x Pravha £5.00 2 x S P Squid £14.80 2 x Moroccan Haloumi £14.80 1 x Confit Chicken £16.95 2 x Free Range Chicken £33.90 1 x Topside of Beef £17.95 1 x Churros £6.40 3 x Sticky Toffee Puddings £20.70 1 x Coffee Amricano £3.00 1 Double Hennessy Fine £28.00 1 x Espresso Martini £8.00 Sub Total £211.00 Service Charge £21.10 Total £232.10 I checked that the staff do get their share of the service charge, except the managers. All the starters were fine, I'd have like more chilli and had my daughters, but that's me being picky. The mains were all good, I tried my son's beef, and it was melt in your mouth, my free range chicken roast was very faloursome. The sweets were good in flavour, and son enjoyed his Churros, my wife couldn't finish her ST pudding as it was too much for her. The niggles, and no stars lost: The roast potatoes were a bit bland in tast, so not sure what fat was used at home I goose fat . They were large, and I like large roast potatoes, but I found the outside hard to cut trhough. My guess is that they are cooked up early in the day and kept warm. That's for the chef to say. The roast chicken seem to be left bereft without some stuffing. Sticky Toffee Pudding It was always was going to be a challenge as it's one of my wife's signature dishes. It was OK, but felt like just sponge and could have done with more toffee sauce. Ice cream on top, was good, being greedy, I could done with more. : The Brandy My favourite tipple at the end of a meal with a coffee. I was asked if I want cold or warm milk, Ilke being given the option. Unfortunately, the brandy was served in a cold glass and it deserved a warmer one. Cusping my had around the glass didn't really help. Would I go back? Yes. No points taken off for the niggles. An issue for the hard of hearing is that there is no soft furning to take up some of the sound, and the background music was a drone on my hearing. I have two hearing aids and the two main settings didn't help. I was picking up the loud spekers on the other tables, which made it hard for me hear right near my own family. Hearing aids tend to pick up the loudest noise. The musak was an unnecessary distraction. :"

"Arrived a few minutes early at 3.15pm for our 3.30pm booking. Very warm welcome from blonde waitress at bar. Very quickly seated by dark haired waitress with glasses who wasn 't very friendly from the start. Pub was fairly busy on arrival but soon became pretty quiet, perhaps explaining our tail end of service poor experience. Wine list had to be chased as didn 't arrive. Drinks also had to be chased. Service to actually place our order had to be chased as we were seemingly abandoned after asking for a few minutes to chose our meals after being asked for our order only a couple of minutes after arrival. Further service had to be chased from our dead zone later in the meal. These were details only, very annoying but par for the course these days sadly. The main and more significant issue was the quality of the roast beef. Tough to the point that you could not cut it. Also delivered not as requested in terms of cooking so lots of back and forth to get our meat cooked as we had asked. Numerous veg were cold or luke warm. Several yorkshire pudding way beyond crisp to the point of being burnt. Excessive salt on majority of veg. Manageress arrived fairly quickly and was initially responsive but the experience at this stage was already hugely spoiled. Replacement food was much better but by that stage we had been put off the whole lunch and to reflect this were offered 2 glasses of wine and a portion of custard to compliment our dessert! This place has been unreliable since the start of the Giles ownership. The family attitude to customers is poor. We asked for the manager to review the bill to reflect the poor experience and ended up being passed a phone to talk to the manager who had gone home. This some 3 hours after we entered the pub due to the awful experience we had encountered."
