Fantastic food, friendly and knowledgeable staff at prices you make get have expected. You do get what you pay for though : Cheese, meat and fish counters are impressive and are a great source of ingredients for a special meal.

we make a long trip to the farm shop to get very cheap meats of high quality. was always worth the trip. helpful friendly staff and a large selection of products, although I personally do not buy their prepacked items, as its generally available closer to us in normal stores

this is my absolute favorite place in the whole world! they sell not only cake, it is amazing! even if they find themselves coming for some good quality rolls and end up doing a weekly food shop! the staff here are all so friendly, I really want to live there! I honestly can't wait to go back, you can buy everything! from pots to pan, olive to ice creams, gifts to decorations! definitely recommend to go there!

Very good farm shop with a huge range of things on offer. Deli counter, fish counter, and very ample butchers counter. Good selection of breads, and the usual cakes, preserves, ales etc. There are good deals to be had on packs of meat too. You can spend a lot of money in places like this, but if you're on a tight budget like myself, but want to shop at local businesses, it's possible to get veg, eggs, meat at reasonable prices here.

We ate there a couple of weeks ago. Two coffees, carrot cake and scrambled eggs on toast. Coffee was cheap. The carrot cake was to die for and instead of scrambled egg on toast I got a fruit tea! Went back today. We wanted two hot chocolates, one with cream. What did we get? Two lukewarm hot chocolates, mine had the cream! But marshmallows too! A very average hot chocolate at that. We’d waited that long for our drinks, sat in a drafty old tent that we just couldn’t be bothered to complain. Needless to say we won’t bother again.

Collected my very first order this afternoon from Gonalston Farm shop. Really really pleased and happy with the produce, in terms of freshness and quality. A special thanks must go to Abby for her help, cheerfulness, enthusiasm, understanding my initial concerns, sorting things out, and finally loading my shopping into the boot of my car when I came to collect. (I am disabled and walking is a problem). All this , whilst working under difficulties that we all face. I’m sure the rest of the staff are just as enthusiastic, but I haven’t met them yet.. lol I will be placing an order again soon. HAPPY EASTER . Chris

Disappointing. We arrived at around 9.30 a.m. after a very early appointment at hospital and my husband ordered a full English Breakfast and I had the Vegetarian version. Nothing was hot even the plates were cold. The bacon my husband was given had either been under heat lamps or had been cooked for a while as it was tough, the beans were cold, the mushroom wasn 't properly cooked, toast only appeared toasted on one side no side plate offered for the toast by the way. The vegetarian version was OK but I 'd sincerely stop doing the veggie sausage, it was dire. My sauté potatoes were 'old ' they 'd been cooked for a long time or recooked. If there is a next time I 'll opt for a pastry. The tea...

We return here each time in the hope that things improve. Unfortunately nothing does!! The bike cafe has been ‘temporarily’ housed under a fixed marquee , which joins on to an open, large room for about 18m now. Fully equipped and to all intents and purposes, permanent. The food is good, but the service is deplorable. The system seems to be that only designated people take the order, or should I say designated person. I’ve never seen more than one. The waiting staff who can’t take orders, consists mostly of young people hanging around chatting. No one has any sense of urgency or duty.
