"We visited on the Santa Sunday, whilst the food was nice we were shocked at the value for money. Firstly it was advertised as having reindeer, petting friends and bouncy castle. There weren’t any other animals apart from the reindeer so the reindeer visit was short and sweet. We had two slightly older children who were worried about hurting the babies on the bouncy castle so they didn’t get to go on that either. The youngest child’s 2 course meal was £12.50 while the older one was £25. £25 for a child’s meal the same size as the younger child and a scoop of ice cream. Of course this price included a Santa gift but a small puzzle for the younger child and a selection box that has an rrp of £2.49 wasn’t really worth the extra cost. Adults were £42.50 for a 3 course meal. After google searches this seems to be amongst the highest price for a Santa Sunday in NI. We’ll unfortunately be looking elsewhere next year."

Edenmore Golf Country Club

"I had the pleasure of running a 3 day golf event at Edenmore between the 06 and 09 September 2022. From the initial planning of this event it was clear that the manager and all his staff had the whole thing set up to such a high standard that I knew we were going to be well looked after in all areas. Firstly the golf course was in immaculate condition. The new greenkeeper has surpassed his level of expertise in producing a totally stunning course in top class condition. The course was superbly green and well cut all over. Fairways were great to play off and the greens were slick . . .but difficult at times. It is quite a difficult track off the white tees and you really need to manage your way round . . . .but everyone who played during teh event commented on how brilliant the course was. The food that we received throughout our 3 days was excellent. A varied menu which catered for all tastes. Large Ulster fry went down well with most, and all the other food on offer was delicious and extremely well presented. The food for the gala prize giving dinner was off the scale and talked about by all who sat down. They now have a number of rooms for accommodation. These are brand new and are excellent. I had my team stay in these rooms and again they are first class. No need to travel back and forth to play golf, or drink and dine in the clubhouse. The service from the manager and a ll his staff was 5 star. Nothing was any trouble to them and they all went out of their way to ensure that we were all looked after superbly well. I fully recommend a visit to this golf club, even if you are not playing a round, the food in the restaurant is excellent. You can now stay and play which makes this venue a whole lot more appealing to golf societies. The new accommodation has totally changed how you can visit this course and have the best time ever. I cannot recommend Edenmore Golf Club highly enough. A must visit course when you are in Northern Ireland. You will always have the best of welcomes from Josh Logan and all his team at this place. Simply superb!!"

"We have been going to Clenaghans for years. Our last visit wasn’t great but we decided to give it another go. It was so disappointing. We had to ask twice for the food menu. The waitress who eventually brought it told us they had gone missing! When we were ready to order, we were then told one of the main dishes was off! We should have been told this when we arrived. The starter of Asian chicken wings was very good. But the mains were not. The sirloin of beef was tough, the roast potatoes were clearly reheated and were very tough. The chicken supreme was bland. The dessert was good, apple crumble and ice cream. Overall the service was poor and the food disappointing. This saddens us as it’s such a beautiful building in lovely surroundings which used to be a fabulous restaurant."

"Fortunate to get a Saturday evening booking at fairly short notice; the whole experience was top notch . The pigs head doughnut is such an unusual dish and it was devoured very quickly . Having had it before , I asked for a small side plate to eat the doughnuts from as eating them from the bowl of pebbles can be tricky with some of the smoked eel and caviar garnish likely to fall down between the pebbles . That was about the only slight negativity with all the dishes being pretty much perfection . The wine list was sensibly priced. Probably the highlight was the deconstructed Jaffa cake ; one of the best desserts I’ve eaten"

"Visited today (Sunday) for lunch at 2.30, orders taken at 2.45 it took over 35 mins for one starter and a kids meal. The server said the kitchen was busy but there was 5/6 free tables free around us. There was another 25 min wait on 2 mains which when arrived the potatoes and veg were cold, they were taken away and returned to us in 2/3 mins roasting so I would guess it was just put into the microwave and another reason I think that is the roast potato was crispy before lifted then soft when brought back. Carrots were also raw, I like a bite to my veg but the carrots were raw. Food was under seasoned if seasoned at all. I have visited here 3 times before on a Sunday and loved it but really can't see myself going back"
