We actually called the wrong one for reservations, but the one in Freising took us. Very eclectic and very good. Burgers were great for being in Bavaria. Large selection of liqueurs and other drinks. The atmosphere is great, with super shields on the walls. My father said, men are left (with the toilets), because women are always right. Our grandchildren loved the burgers because they were tired of German dishes. Great change of pace. The servers and bartenders were super nice to us. Whenever in Freising, we will return. I had a craving for a good burger and thankfully there is now a great place in Freising to fulfill this wish. Most places use frozen patties that are of a uniform size and shape - not Effe & Gold. The patties are thick and juicy like you would throw on the grill at home. I had the chili cheeser and my now favorite side - sweet potato fries. The fries come with a dipping bowl of spicy curry sauce and the burger lives up to its name with lots of jalapeños. For those who don't eat meat or don't feel like it on that day (like my wife) there are several vegetarian and vegan options. The service was great and the food was excellent. Neu für Freising aber kein neues Konzept in der Gastro. Erwartungsvoll mit dem Vergleich zu Münchner-Läden der selben Art sind wir in den Laden nach Freising. Überraschung, ein sehr kleiner Tisch für 5 Personen wurde uns für eine Reservierung von 6 Personen zugewiesen. Die Anzahl 4, 5 und 8 Personen geht gut von der Anordnung im gesamten Laden, dazwischen wird es unangenehm beim Essen. Die Burger, tolle Kombinationen! Bedauerlicherweise sind die Burger extrem trocken vom Brot, sehr wenig bis fast keine der Hauseigenen Sauce (wird aber groß angepriesen). Pommes war dazu auch noch verbrannt und ohne nennenswerten Geschmack. Ob es das Konzept ist oder ein schlechter Tag war, kann man nicht beur...

Hochwertige Burger-Läden sind schon seit ein paar Jahren im Kommen, darum wunderte es mich umso mehr, dass ein solches Geschäft es erst jetzt nach Freising geschafft hat. Ums kurz zu machen: die ausgefallenen und vielseitigen Burger, das wirklich nette Personal, und die gute Lage können das mittelmäßige Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht retten.Ein Burger kostet 10 bis 12 Euro. Pommes sind nicht dabei, aber gut, bei der Konkurrenz in München kauft man die auch extra; im Effe & Gold zahlt man je nach Sorte 3 bis 4,50€. Und das macht dann eben mindestens 15€, ohne Getränk und Trinkgeld.Jetzt gibt es aber in Freising auch schon länger Gastronomien, die Burger anbieten. Ich meine nicht McDonalds!... Visualizza piatti
