This is away from the crowds, set back from the main road which runs to the beach. We ate dinner here a seafood paella and it was excellent. The service was very friendly. There were a few locals in the bar area and...they were also very friendly they all said goodnight to us when we left. It's not in the grandest setting but you go for the food. They have a good tapas menu but we didn't try anything off it. The price was reasonable. Recommended if you want a meal away from the people promenading on the sea front.

el meson is from the main road in pp near the large circular traffic and behind the tankstation. it's out of the beaten, but worth a visit. tapas is the speciality, but also main courses. it is very common that locals observe. the football, but don’t let it off! After brot and olive, we had whitebait and tomatensuppe for beginners, both very nice, followed by el meson’s special burger and tuna salad. not complaining. we found the lady who served us very attentive and friendly. with beer, wein and carajillo the bill came to euro. very reasonable.

This restaurant is away from the waterfront but visible from the main road into town from the interior (on the right). It is not posh, just ordinary modern looking and is as much a bar with terrace as anything. Indeed it is very much a...locals drinking place and we were the only non-Spanish in there. We ate on the terrace which was fine and unaffected by the Spanish hilarity in the bar. Our welcome was warm and throughout our meal we were served with friendliness and smiles. They even helped us along with our fractured Spanish with great patience.
