"Wir waren im Sommer 2024 spontan abends in Dornspachhaus. Obwohl es schon sehr ausgebucht war, haben wir noch einen Tisch bekommen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es gab eine vielfältige Auswahl an Speisen aus der Niederlausitz und Böhmen. Wir hatten vier verschiedene Gerichte und alle waren lecker kann man sehr empfehlen. Sitzplätze gibt es im Innenhof oder in der urigen Stube."

"Wir waren vom 2.-4.Jun. zu Besuch. Von der Terrasse und auch von unserem Zimmer aus, hatten wir einen tollen Ausblick auf Hörnitz, Zittau und Umgebung. Der Gasthof ist durch seine Lage sehr ruhig gelegen und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Unser Zimmer war eines der saubersten, die ich je auf Reisen erleben durfte. Ich hab im Bad nicht nur keinen Schmutz gefunden, sondern nicht einmal Ansatz von Kalk war irgendwo zu sehen. Am Freitag Abend begannen wir das Abendessen mit einem Grillabend, der jeden Freitag stattfindet. Hier gab es ein beeindruckendes Angebot von Würsten, Fleisch, Geflügel, Fisch, Käse, Gemüse und Broten von der örtlichen Bäckerei auf dem Grill. Frühstück gibt es ab 8Uhr. Auch da gab es alle möglichen Leckereien bis hin zu hausgemachten Marmeladen. Abgerundet von freundlichem Personal, kann ich es wirklich nur weiterempfehlen. Macht weiter so und Danke für das Wochenende!!!"

"we came to the restaurant “Zum alte Sack”. we had a meeting for our friends and friends. so we ordered a “city guard ride” on the zittauer narrow lane, which is only offered a few times a year. by oybin it goes romantic with the steam bath through the zittauer mountain, after which stand in the old food car. After a three-quarter hour drive they arrived in zittau and we went on a city tour through the old cityguard. that is very informative, but it is all very interesting to tell about the zittauer story. but we don't want to do a great job here. to offer the city watchdog ride is also a “green” eating in the old salt house in the restaurant “Zum alte Sack”. when we were a busy group of traveling, the gastronomy already felt at the city square and asked for food. so we go into the rustic, cozy gastronomy. we were placed a little by the other guests, but our travel group sat together on a big table. after the placement left us the chef, and a young, slightly more stressed waiter took us. which did not have to be ordered, this is already booked via the narrower powder. so he only had to ask us about the drinks. said, done, yes, but good heart, so without menu to find drinks out is not so easy. So we have chosen the obligatory beer for us, which weeps one, and our children a cola, because a menu for each of us was apparently too much of the good one. after a previous visit to our children in the restaurant they discovered that there are also homemade limonade. so we wanted to reorder, but unfortunately it was no longer possible. Pity, with a card they would have chosen the drinks in a real and quiet way. the same chaos as in the order there was, of course, when the young man brought the various drinks on the table. some traffic, then cross and cross, without asking, simply placed on the different places. on the faces of our travel group was clearly to see the nerve factor. we had thirsty and starving. the food had to be ready for what the gastwirt already pushed. per quarter of an hour for each of our travel groups, they say “Oberlausitzer Pilzgulasch with red crumble and Bohemian knödeln” in the value of 11,10 € (laut aushang ed map) on the table. It was tasteful to eat, but it was also exceptionally great. whether the “old bag” from the narrow web becomes less to eat, or whether the portions are always so clear, I cannot judge. he certainly deserved a second chance on our side, but so really satisfied we were neither with eating nor service. our young waiter was at the end of our event not even able to spend for everyone a bill for the drinks. so he made the drinks on a small note, and we had to pay for three cola and a beer 11,50 €, whether it was true, no warning. "Am 19.03.22 waren wir zum ersten Mal seit Corona wieder hier. Wir hatten ca. eine Woche vorher zwei Plätze auf dem Podest am Fenster bestellt und freuten uns auf ein Abendessen vor dem Besuch eines kleinen Kulturevents in Zittau. Viel war, eine Stunde nach Lokalöffnung, noch nicht los. Ein Tisch war noch besetzt. Dafür muss auf der Toilette bereits viel Betrieb gewesen sein, der Korb für die benutzten Papierhandtücher am Waschtisch quoll über. Dass wir am Tresen besetzet mit 2 jungen Männern bestellen müssen, wussten wir noch. Sofortiges bezahlen macht Trinkgeld zu Vorschusslorbeeren und die Einschätzungen damit schwierig. Stutzig machte uns allerdings die Frage des Personals, ob wir unsere Getränke gleich mitnehmen möchten. Dem Tonfall nach wurde ein Nein unsererseits nicht erwartet. Also doch erstmal kein Dip. Andere Gäste taten es uns beim Selfservice später gleich. Ein Schild am Tresen gab bekannt, dass es ausgerechnet heute keine Pizza gibt. Ich hätte lieber eine Pizza genommen, aber OK, Personal ist knapp ? . Unser Platzwunsch bei der Reservierung Podest, wegen der Bestuhlung und Fensterplatz war nicht berücksichtigt, eine offizielle Erklärung dafür gab es nicht. Wir vermuten, dass wir Zwei keine größeren Tische blockieren sollten. Also nahmen wir auf den besseren Bierzeltgarnituren Platz. Das Essen war gut, wie immer hier, wenngleich ich den Eindruck hatte, dass die Burger und die Süßkartoffelpommesportionen, wegen denen meine Frau bisher gern mal herkam, früher größer waren. Die Portionsschälchen mit dem Dipping waren es ganz sicher beides unakzeptabel, wenn ja . Die Preise haben zugelegt ich habe alte Speisekarten aus Anfangs und Vorcoronazeiten zum Vergleich bedingt akzeptabel . Das Lokal füllte sich langsam, sodass man sich wegen eines zweiten Getränkes quasi hintenanstellen müsste, also blieb es bei jeweils einem Getränk. So bequem ist eine Holzbank ohne Lehne nun auch nicht. Beim Verlassen des Lokals entdeckten wir dann noch den Rolltisch mit dem Hinweis, dass es sich um die Geschirrrückgabe handelt… Leute geht’s noch? Und wo ist der Eimer mit dem Lappen zum Tisch abwischen? Hätten wir bei ca. 35 Euro für zwei Burger Regionalität hin oder her , ein Bier vom Fass, einem Menü Pommes +Hauslimo und Getränkeselfservice und Holzbanken natürlich auch noch gemacht. Und der Müllkorb am Waschtisch quoll immer noch über."
