"Wir waren vom 2.-4.Jun. zu Besuch. Von der Terrasse und auch von unserem Zimmer aus, hatten wir einen tollen Ausblick auf Hörnitz, Zittau und Umgebung. Der Gasthof ist durch seine Lage sehr ruhig gelegen und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Unser Zimmer war eines der saubersten, die ich je auf Reisen erleben durfte. Ich hab im Bad nicht nur keinen Schmutz gefunden, sondern nicht einmal Ansatz von Kalk war irgendwo zu sehen. Am Freitag Abend begannen wir das Abendessen mit einem Grillabend, der jeden Freitag stattfindet. Hier gab es ein beeindruckendes Angebot von Würsten, Fleisch, Geflügel, Fisch, Käse, Gemüse und Broten von der örtlichen Bäckerei auf dem Grill. Frühstück gibt es ab 8Uhr. Auch da gab es alle möglichen Leckereien bis hin zu hausgemachten Marmeladen. Abgerundet von freundlichem Personal, kann ich es wirklich nur weiterempfehlen. Macht weiter so und Danke für das Wochenende!!!"

"we came to the restaurant “Zum alte Sack”. we had a meeting for our friends and friends. so we ordered a “city guard ride” on the zittauer narrow lane, which is only offered a few times a year. by oybin it goes romantic with the steam bath through the zittauer mountain, after which stand in the old food car. After a three-quarter hour drive they arrived in zittau and we went on a city tour through the old cityguard. that is very informative, but it is all very interesting to tell about the zittauer story. but we don't want to do a great job here. to offer the city watchdog ride is also a “green” eating in the old salt house in the restaurant “Zum alte Sack”. when we were a busy group of traveling, the gastronomy already felt at the city square and asked for food. so we go into the rustic, cozy gastronomy. we were placed a little by the other guests, but our travel group sat together on a big table. after the placement left us the chef, and a young, slightly more stressed waiter took us. which did not have to be ordered, this is already booked via the narrower powder. so he only had to ask us about the drinks. said, done, yes, but good heart, so without menu to find drinks out is not so easy. So we have chosen the obligatory beer for us, which weeps one, and our children a cola, because a menu for each of us was apparently too much of the good one. after a previous visit to our children in the restaurant they discovered that there are also homemade limonade. so we wanted to reorder, but unfortunately it was no longer possible. Pity, with a card they would have chosen the drinks in a real and quiet way. the same chaos as in the order there was, of course, when the young man brought the various drinks on the table. some traffic, then cross and cross, without asking, simply placed on the different places. on the faces of our travel group was clearly to see the nerve factor. we had thirsty and starving. the food had to be ready for what the gastwirt already pushed. per quarter of an hour for each of our travel groups, they say “Oberlausitzer Pilzgulasch with red crumble and Bohemian knödeln” in the value of 11,10 € (laut aushang ed map) on the table. While the tellers were brought to the table, one gradually saw the constantly extending faces of men on the table because many parts differ. two pebbles, a spoon of red crumbled, six to seven pieces of gulash and few mushrooms were the promised “green food” in the salt house. as already suspected, some men did not eat on the teller, and the women tried inconspicuously to press their shadows. but also my daughter with 11 years was not really flown up, and my wife and I gave her some of us. It was tasteful to eat, but it was also exceptionally great. whether the “old bag” from the narrow web becomes less to eat, or whether the portions are always so clear, I cannot judge. he certainly deserved a second chance on our side, but so really satisfied we were neither with eating nor service. our young waiter was at the end of our event not even able to spend for everyone a bill for the drinks. so he made the drinks on a small note, and we had to pay for three cola and a beer 11,50 €, whether it was true, no warning. Summary: cleanliness: gastronomy as well as toilets were top clean and well maintained. ambiente: homely furnished, cozy dining room in the center zittaus service: much needs to eat improvement: tasteless not sour, unfortunately much too little price/performance: good, noisy, noisy, we would have expected more"

"Die Kinder haben sich als Belohnung für 's Wandern in Oybin Spaghetti und Lasagne gewünscht. Google Maps hat La Casa Vecchia vorgeschlagen und obwohl es 7 km von unserer Unterkunft entfernt ist/war, habe ich auf den Google Vorschlag vertraut weil ich in der Vergangenheit viele gute Erfahrungen damit gemacht habe so auch dieses mal! Das Ambiente ist wunderbar gemütlich italienisch, die Karte ist nicht sehr groß aber die Speisen ausgewählt und doch ist für jeden etwas dabei. Ich war erst skeptisch weil die Kinderspeisen und meine Vorspeise optisch nicht viel her gemacht haben. Die Kinder haben aber schon nach den ersten Happen gesagt das sie noch nie so gute Pasta gegessen haben. Meine Minestrone war auch echt lecker aber vielleicht habe ich zu viel erwartet und das Besondere hat mir bei dieser einfachen Bauernspeise gefehlt. Das war aber sofort vergessen als mein Hauptgang kam. Frisch zubereitete Nudeln im Parmesanleib flambiert, dazu Steinpilzsauce und frisch geriebener Trüffel. Die Zubereitung am Platz ist erstmal was für 's Auge und der Geschmack war vielmehr eine Geschmacksexplosion!!! Dieser grandiose Hauptgang hat mein Feinschmeckerherz zum Schmelzen gebracht ich war lange nicht so sprachlos und berührt/gerührt wegen etwas lebensnotwendigem denn das ist es ja im Großen und Ganzen was essen ist."

"Mitten in Zittau im Erdgeschoss des Hotel Zittauer Hof befindet sich die schmale Gaststätte. Hier kann man gemütlich sitzen. Es gibt aber nicht zu viele Tische. Voranmeldung ist empfehlenswert. Das Essen schmeckte gut. Es gibt auch regionale Gerichte. Vor der Gaststätte gibt es viel kostenpflichtige Parkplätze. Ab 18 Uhr sind sie kostenlose."
