"On 18.02.2017 we celebrated our wedding with 90 guests (including 17 children in Exo in Karlsruhe with 3-course lunch and coffee and cake/pie). We were and are all happy about our perfect celebration and have only received positive feedback about the exo from our guests. The location was unbeatable for our “city wedding”. On foot it went from the church to the location and all guests found a parking lot in the surrounding parking spaces and streets despite the city and construction site. Arrival by public transport was also possible for our guests. Due to the many directly surrounding hotels, the selection of the location is also great for numerous overnight guests. So from our point of view, 1A position. The rooms are modern and cozy. If you want oak rustic or a classic ballroom, it is not here. The view into the Exotenhaus from the table was impressive for our small guests and also for adults. The acoustic ceiling of the room is great as it is not too loud for the large number of adults and children. The facilities of the hall include beamers and screens. We had good weather and the kids jumped around on the terrace and some of our guests took a break to the zoo, which was also good. Our 3-course menu was excellent. Mr. Hill (Managing Director with many good suggestions and our special requests (lactose intolerance, pregnant guests, etc.) were discussed without any problems. We first had a winter salad with roasted nuts, roasted apple slices and raspberry vinaigrette. We planned the main menu as a buffet. Here there were: pink roast beef in late burgundy sauce, pork fillet on champignon cream, homemade dough bag with well-dressed sauce (vegetaric, as a supplement various vegetables, potato gratin and homemade late zle. The meat was tender and juicy, the vegetables cooked to the point. The dessert was served again. There were mousse au chocolat with fresh fruits. Overall everything was harmonious and delicious. The wine recommendations for food were also suitable and there were many positive feedback from our guests to eat. In the late afternoon we had our wedding cake as well as a very diverse selection of cakes and cakes produced by the Exo team. Of course we couldn't try a cake ourselves, but the feedback was also positive and our guests like to take remaining cakes home. The coffee and coffee specialities (Espresso, Cappuccino etc.) also tasted very well. The cooperation in advance and the service on the actual day were excellent and very professional. The restaurant manager Mrs Schillinger put the tables just after our ideas and embraced everything lovingly. The decoration we had given in advance was also implemented as we had imagined. The events were smooth during the celebration itself. The food was served quickly. At the buffet, Mr. Hill stood personally as well as other employees and made the food beautiful on the plates. Drinks were regularly gifted. The staff was always helpful, friendly and friendly. Also the collaboration with our suppliers for the flowers and the wedding cake ran smoothly. In addition, Mr. Hill has always been available by phone or e-mail in advance and requests for change have also been accepted and implemented shortly beforehand. We had a beautiful celebration and thank Mr. Hill and his staff for the successful day. We like to come back to Exo with our next big celebration."

Das Essen hält leider nicht was es verspricht. Es kam kalt zum Tisch und hat auch geschmacklich nicht überzeugt. Das Ambiente ist ganz nett. Es ist neben dem Spielplatz und wir sind das erste mal daran vorbei gelaufen weil es keinen deutliches Schild gab.

Hier gibt es klassische Gerichte, wie z. B. Pommes, die man auch z. B. im Freizeitpark erwarten würde. Bei den Getränken leider etwas teuer. Das Ambiente ist durch das angrenzende Exotenhaus des Karlsruher Zoos sehr speziell und daher schön. Die Angestellten sind freundlich.

Klar sind die Preise im Zoo etwas höher als draußen, aber es wurde (finde ich) nicht übertrieben. Es gibt außerdem einige gute Kombiangebote. Neu sind die Burger. Roch super lecker, leider hatten wir schon gegessen. Sauber und nettes Personal. Die Einrichtung und der Blick ins Exotenhaus sind super.

Δεν θα αναφερθώ σε όσα είδα και εγινάν γιατί είναι πολλά,αυτό που λέω είναι διορθώστετο γιατί σας αξίζει το άριστα

We entered the park through north entrance, and as we were desperate to sit down for a coffee, we went to the closest restaurant. Ideally situated across from the kids play area. The outside dining area is semi shaded, so some respite from the sun....The restaurant has two parts, one part is canteen style set up, ie self service. Limited menu, but nonetheless everyone could find something to eat. I didn’t feel that it was exorbitant in terms of pricing. However food quality and taste was nothing special, you have to accept that the restaurant doesn’t market itself to be any more than it is.

Das Exo ist die Gastronomie im Exotenhaus des Karlsruher Zoos. Auch nach der Schließung der Zookassen kann das Exo von der Ettlinger Straße aus betreten werden. Der Innenbereich ist zum Exotenhaus hin verglast damit man den Vögeln, Flughunden, Faultieren und Totenkopfäffchen zusehen kann. Zudem verfügt das Exo über eine großzugig gestaltete Außenterasse mit Lounge-Atmosphäre. Tagsüber wird diese jedoch von den Zoobesuchern genutzt. Das Essen hat hohe Qualität und das Gastronomiekonzept stimmt. Das Lokal ist ideal für Familienfeste, Firmenfeiern, Hochzeiten und Veranstaltungen jeder Art geeignet. Wir haben am 07.04.2017 einen Event im Exo mitgemacht. Es wurde eine eigene Führung im Exotenhaus angeboten mit anschliessendem Frühlingsmenü. Es war ein besonders schönes Erlebnis das uns sehr viel Spaß gemacht hat. Von der Begrüßung über die Führung hin zum Service war die Betreuung ausgezeichnet. Die Führung war wirklich interessant und dadurch das das Exotenhaus für den normalen Besucherverkehr geschlossen war hatte man ein tolles VIP Gefühl in den beginnenden Abendstunden. Das anschliessende Essen war sehr lecker und gut zubereitet und dass man dabei immer noch Tiere im Exotenhaus durch die großen Scheiben sehen konnte ein besonderes Erlebnis. Spitzen-Küche und exzellenter Service in besonderer Umgebung!!!Hallo zusammen!!Wir waren vor Kurzem nach unserer standesamtlichen Trauung im EXO zum Mittagessen. Das Restaurant eigentlich nur über den Zoo/Satdtgarten zu erreichen und es gibt Selbstbedienung. Perfekt während eines Zoobesuchs. Auf telefonische Anfrage, wie in unserem Fall, kann man aber seine eigene Feier oder Veranstaltung organisieren und erhält individuelle Beratung. Das Ambiente im Exotenhaus ist einmalig und besonders das angrenzende Gehege mit den kleinen Äffchen, von dem man nur durch eine Scheibe getrennt ist, ist eine originelle Idee.
