"I live in Trier and usually have sushi every Wednesday after a good ballet workout, to get loaded on protein and a healthy meal. I'm a regular at Sushi Trier, which is on my way home. The food is awesome, even though the price is...rather on the higher side. Imagine my disappointment when I found out this week that they were closing for weeks for summer vacation! In desperation, I even went to a supermarket at pm to try to find a bento box, or ANYTHING that would satiate my sushi cravings, with no luck I ended up buying smoked salmon talk about desperate!. The next day, I started to search for other sushi joints in Trier, and found Fuji Sushi Bar. The good reviews gave me something to look forward to, so I headed down there immediately after work. A truckload of goodies was already circulating on the kaitensushi belt at pm, and the restaurant had a good number of patrons despite the early hour for dinner. The atmosphere was nice and the staff quite friendly. At EUR for a takeout box of decent size normally this is an allyoucaneat place, I thought this was a fair price, especially compared to Sushi Trier a dinner platter ON SALE will cost you at least EUR. However, once I got home and after tasting the salmon sashimi and maki rolls, all my good impressions of Fuji Sushi Bar vanished. The fish tasted rubbery, and with no flavor whatsoever, as if it had been delivered frozen and then thawed. The sticky rice was not any better. I literally had to force it into my mouth the consistency was pastelike, not pearly and firm. The only redeemable thing about the meal was the seaweed salad, which is the standard frozen one that you get in every place. In the end, I decided to leave of the raw salmon in the fridge to cook it the next day, as I could not bring myself to eat it. I write this with a very disappointed and heavy heart, as I really wanted to find a good place for sushi in Trier that would not be as expensive as Sushi Trier. Even though I travel to several countries and places, but due to lack of time I have not posted any reviews, this time I felt compelled to do it, due to my experience in the very place where I live. If you are looking for a place that is not expensive, this is your establishment. However, be aware that you get what you pay for or even less!. If you want to taste something fresh, delicious, and remotely decent as far as sushi goes, then pony up some money and go to Sushi Trier. At least you will have a good food experience"

It's very cheap compared to other places in Europe and it's better than the average sushi restaurant! If you are a student, go there for lunch running sushi for only euros!

The place is nice with a funny sushi train especially for kids. The quality of the sushi is good, not pretentious. Variety of fish could be better. Service is friendly. All in all a good sushi place

We decided with my boyfriend to give this restaurant a try and we definately don't regret that we did. Delicious all you can eat sushi train and nice and cozy environment. I would definately like to go back one day

Sushi always fresh and many variations, you can even ask specials they make for you on demand. Waitresses very kind and fast. Prices are reasonable. I frequently go there with good friends to spend a pleasant evening

Good deal for all you can eat but if you just want a small to medium portion you should try Sushi Trier. It is unfortunately very small and in the main tourist district so it is always packed and its closed on Mondays. The food...at Fuji is good but not a very big selection despite a very long sushi train belt

Sehr leckeres Sushi vom Laufband - all you an eat! Das Sushi ist frisch zubereitet, der Fisch hat eine gute Qualität und der Preis ist absolut angemessen! Die Mitarbeiter sind immer freundlich und um einen sehr guten Service bemüht. Extrawünsche werden gerne erfüllt. Sehr empfehlenswert! Wir kommen immer wieder gerne her.

We ordered delivery, we specially asked them to separate the shrimps from the rest of the food because I'm allergic they put it all together and well mixed, from rolls from the party sushi plate: tuna sashimi and tuna rolls were rancid,...almost fermented, couldn't believe they delivered like this, would never recommend it

This is the best sushi go round we have found outside of Japan. We had the all you can eat buffet service and definitely got our monies worth! The service was awesome, the food was fresh and varied. They even made some Ikura sushi for...my six year old her favorite food at lunch even though it is usually only on the dinner menu. The price was reasonable, decor is simple and tasteful. We look forward to going back again
