"the restaurant is located at the rande of the old town of the small Saxon town of glauchau. parking is available on the private parking directly at the house. the restaurant is rurally cosy and offers space for two or even small groups. a separate room for companies is available next to the gaststube. remarkable is the competent and warm service by the chefin of the house itself. the selection of foods is based on the preferences and habits of the city dwellers. Of course, the visitor must make certain marks when selecting and originality of the offers. not the despite is cooked in the normally fresh and what comes on the dish! for the outside gas there are quite sensual specialities to discover - such as wrap-wise. almost all main dishes cost not more than 10€. delicious Saxon beer (pils and black beer). In the evening, the gaststube is often very well visited, so a telephone reservation is recommended."

"Geheimtipp, wenn Sie in Glauchau übernachten möchten, dann ist das Deutsche Haus direkt am Markt eine sehr gute Wahl. Das Hause ist auch ein Seniorenpflegehotel, die „Hotelzimmer“ werden sicher auch oft von Gästen gebucht, die ihre Angehörigen besuchen. Meine Frau und ich haben auf unser Radtour entlang der Mulde eine Nacht im Deutschen Haus verbracht. Das war eine sehr gute Wahl. Große, saubere und funktional gestaltete Zimmer. Unser Zimmer lag zur Marktseite hin, sehr schöne Aussicht auf den Marktplatz. Nachts war es ruhig, es war kein Problem, das Fenster geöffnet zu lassen. Mit dem sauberen und gut ausgestatteten Bad waren wir ebenfalls sehr zufrieden. Die Fahrräder standen im Innenhof unter einem Vorsprung des Hauses. Ein Fahrradschuppen oder -raum wäre natürlich noch besser. Das Frühstück wird individuell am Tisch gereicht. Wünsche können beim sehr freundlichen Personal geäußert werden. Wir haben am Anreiseabend im Deutschen Haus gegessen. Am Restaurant/Cafe-Bereich, der auch als Frühstücksraum genutzt wird, schließt sich eine Innenhofterasse an. Wir haben im Hof gegessen. Das Essen war sehr reichlich und schmeckte uns auch sehr gut. Wir können das Deutsche Haus empfehlen, sowohl was die Übernachtung anbelangt als auch für ein schönes Abendessen im kleinen „Biergartenhof“."

"Delicious food, on the map were also spinach dumplings and frit soup and a selection of South Tyrolean wines and spirits. The service was also very nice and accommodating. I have to mention that the kitchen has a look at the South Tyrolean cuisine. Whoever was there doesn't know the salads are served. Salt, pepper, vinegar and oil stand on the table. Note to a negative recession in the reviews. Delicious food, the menu so included spinach dumplings and pancake soup and a selection of South Tyrolean wines and spirits. The service was so very nice and accommodating. We'll definitely be back. I have to mention that the kitchen is based on the South Tyrolean cuisine. If you've never been there, you don't know that salads aren't served dressed. Salt, pepper, vinegar and oil are on the table. Indication of a negative recession in the reviews."

"Disappointed: I personally strongly advise from this restaurant due to my following experience: Apart from the fact that the waiters are overwhelmed (on the neighboring table the people have already picked up the drinks themselves at the tresent) and you have to wait forever for order intake (35 min) and for food (1h10min for the main dish after order), the service is virtually not available: The host does not show any respect to the guests and reacts only irritated, if not even rough to guests. My food was partially burned (see photos). I was told by the waiter that he suddenly did not pronounce German (later he could speak fluent German again). The host has only responded to it in a group, no trace of insight or a verbal apology. We therefore insisted that we do not pay the food on the invoice we found it anyway. The discussion has adopted a basary state. When I noticed to publish these pictures, I was threatened by the host. Sorry, but I've never seen that before. Errors can happen, but then you should react to this as a guest in the gastronomy."

"Gestern waren wir mit der Familie im Landgasthof zum Abendessen hier. Das Essen war sehr lecker, großes Lob geht hier an die Küche! Leider waren wir von der Bedienung nicht sehr begeistert. Hier wurden regelmäßig urteilende Kommentare abgegeben (z. B. wurde die Wahl des Rumpsteaks in Frage gestellt, das sei immer in der Karte und deshalb langweilig . Auch empfanden wir, dass die Kellnerin ziemlich unter Stress stand und diesen an uns ausließ. Als sie die Speisen annehmen wollte, hatten gerade einmal 2 von 6 Gästen die Speisen gewählt, dennoch sollte dann sofort eine Entscheidung getroffen werden. Beim Dessert, nach welchem wir um ca. 20:45 Uhr gefragt wurden, kam der Kommentar, wir sollten es nicht so kompliziert machen, die Küche hat gleich Küchenschluss und Krapfen gängen jetzt sowieso nicht mehr. Als mein Partner dann sein Eis bekam, wurde es ihm mit dem Kommentar Zugreifen in die Hand gedrückt. Das man vielleicht nicht jeden Platz optimal erreichen kann ist ja vollkommen okay, aber man kann doch freundlich fragen, ob der Gast die Speise entgegennimmt. Wir haben wirklich Verständnis für Stress und Zeitdruck, auch wissen wir, dass gerade in der Gastro Personalmangel v. a. im Bereich der Küche herrscht. Jedoch geht so ein Umgangston nicht. Hier sollte dringend daran gearbeitet werden. Wenn eine Viertel Stunde vor Küchenschluss schon einige Desserts nicht mehr möglich sind, da sie zu kompliziert sind, sollte entweder am Küchenschluss oder an der Dessertkarte gearbeitet werden. Wie gesagt, das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt, aber hier muss dringend am Umgang mit den Gästen gearbeitet werden."
