Food quality varies a lot depending on dishes some were amazing, some were just okay. Expectation was high so a bit disappointed. Intimate atmosphere, good service.

Was expecting much better quality of food and service. Some of the dishes were just wrong. The best part was the bread. Everything else could be executed much better. The ambiance, the service were way below expectations.

this restaurant has a tasting menu that changes every season, with wonderful employees who speak it through every cursor. they can enjoy accompanying wee with any dish, or simply order how they go. this is one of the best culinary experiences I ever had.

Given the chef's reputation and passion for vegan food, I was expecting a lot from the food here, but was left very disappointed. I've had much better vegan tasting menus even at non-vegan restaurants. Other than the food, staff were very friendly and the room had a nice ambience.

we had a very nice meal here. we had the set menu. the food was delicious and a good amount for a light dinner, and all vegan! the wine pairings were excellent and our server was friendly and attentive. I can recommend the heel milk cappuccino, one of the best I had! I would definitely recommend this restaurant if they want to treat themselves to a nice meal.

We have the corner tables for Kats 21. Birthday party Wednesdsy Evening booked. Absolutely brilliant. Appropriate prices. And hallelujah you can talk to your friends without screaming. Upstairs. With karaoke also in the next room if you want to leave your hair down. Staff and other customers very cooled and friendly. Just remember your doctor when you look young.

I love the experience. High-end gourmet food and loved the fact that it was all vegan! the presentation was spectacular. I still dream of the truffle pasta and the wee was very good. service was quiet but good. To be honest, I would have loved to be a smaller meal, as I would not have done justice to the last courses. it was just too much to eat. in everything they had 10-11 courses! my only annoyance was the waitress that gave me the menu when I asked for the wine card. Come on, it's the 21st century and I paid for the meal!

I have been a long-standing Gauthier retreat since about 2013 and consider it a 5 star restaurant. I have always loved to return to such a pleasant and comfortable dining room. Eating was great, the first time on the vegan menu and eating was great. To be honest, I will never be a totally vegan conversion, but could eat the truffle noire all day long. the service was a little creepy today. probably covided related and thus in vain. Very disappointing all round. I’ve been so impressed by the Chef before lockdown. Delicious appealing dishes full of flavour. We chose not to have alcohol so we could fully taste the food. His vegan menu selection I thought unappealing and far too light for grown up diners who need proper protein balanced vegan food. To enjoy food I need enticing aromas rising from each dish. There were none. I’m not a vegan as I’m 75 and observe that nutritionists advise me to include some animal protein including red meat to provide me with essential nutrients. But I enjoy vegan food… when it’s flavoursome and has gorgeous aromas.. think hot freshly roasted crispy skin of chicken/duck/potatoes/roast onion....
