Super tasty local food and charming small beer glasses with local beer. Interesting history of the building as well. Highly recommend!

what a great way to experience. the colsh was great and free flowed, eating was great German pub food (especially the carvings), and the best were the service staff brilliant and friendly. could not recommend this place very much.

it is a traditional cocaine brewery, so it is great that they offer modern vegan food besides traditional German meal times. it is a bit sad that the only vegan labeled item is unusual, it would be nice to have one or two traditional foods as a vegan version on the menu. the atmosphere is very beautiful.

I love this restaurant. it has everything I want: good location, fast service, they can choose to sit outside or inside, great beers, amazing eating, and especially the excellent waiter, which is super friendly, professional and running both foreign languages English and Spanish. I recommend you to try the crispy boar, it's a wow.

my Alli friend and I were here for lunch today. I had the vegan lentil stew and the dish was very good! it came with brot (and my friend and I ordered a teller of frits to share) it was just a bit too salty for me, but combined with the brot it was good. the atmosphere was good, service fast and we saw that many locals also eat there. there are not many traditional breweries with vegan and vegetarian options, but zims has a few. with my vegetarian friend we had the gurke, the lens soup, the mushroom and brotknödel and the kartoffeln fritters, all of which were tasty, like the carolish. the service was very friendly and the ambiente was warm and welcoming and not too loud (although it was Sunday) we come back.

a great place for beer and German desserts! we held here late on a Saturday for some traditional puddings and got apfelstrudel and another dish that I called the name (a huge plate of fried pancake-like slices) that were both delicious. they are very generous portions, as often in Germany, and served with beautiful ceramic tanks of the local colsch. we also came back for the Sunday carnival event and had a great time in the cellar, who danced with very friendly locals to the carnival songs and tried some of the drinks we had not heard, like woodruffs and hugo (a delicious prosecco cocktail from minze and dullberry). it is a beautiful building and a great place to spend some fun time.

For a meeting with friends or acquaintances there are a lot of brewhouses in Cologne. Kneips standing for a particular carol brand.
