"We arrived in Köln Friday night forgetting that it was Christmas party season. The restaurant was packed but the waitress said that a booking hadn't showed up so after waiting at the wine bar mins, the table was ours It was such a lovely...experience. Outstanding food. The fillet steak was like cutting a hot knife through butter, cooked so well and the flavours were Gorgeous. I then tasted my friends ravioli.... wow I had food envy so badly... desserts were also divine. Best food experience in Köln by far. The Restaraunt was booked out for the rest of our trip, wish we had a chance to go back. Highly recommend this restaurant. yummy yummy yummy"

Would have got stars, but one point deducted for the slow service and the fact it was freezing in the back room, and another more importantly for them not having any Tiramisu left!!!!!!! So stars really

An Italian South Tirol restaurant in Cologne. Typical northitalian dishes made for germans. My “papardelle alle polpette” were served overcooked and topped with full of bad parmesan cheese, thus not really good. The winelist is not bad, service is slow and no waiter can speak...italian

I'd heard good reviews from friends, but I wasn't impressed. The friends I was with said their food was good, but my ravioli was pretty slimey. It tasted much more like maultaschen. Other than that the service was poor. We all agreed on that. We were mostly ignored. Perhaps it was just an off night. I'd like to think so.

Me and my partner went here without reservations on a busy friday night. The staff was very friendly and found a spot for us anyways. I had the Mercato Bouillabaise and it is one of the best seafood dishes I have ever had. The staff...was kind and helpful with the wine. Had to ask for water twice, but as the restaurant was packed it is understandible. Wonderful food and cozy place. Highly recommended

The Mercato Deluxe is best described as a mix of your favorite neighborhood restaurant and that fancy dining place you go on your anniversary. For a price that is also in between those two categories do you get a memorable yet not too Chic experience...and will most lispelt leave satisfied. If not for a hick up with our reservation, might I have even rewarded the maximum number of points. Very recommendable very decent wine card

Sorry, read my other reviews, I usually don’t do this but after this evening I feel like smashing this place. One reason for that: the service didn’t response, left us waiting for the main dish over minutes, smiled away the full dishes we gave...back and didn’t offer us anything to make up the bad performance. All we saw let us believe that this isn’t a normal Italian restaurant but a chain. Nothing wrong w this but we would’ve been better off at Vapianos

We went on the TA recommendation and were not disappointed. Our entree of bruschetta was different, not entirely to out taste, but well prepared and presented. For mains we had the frikadellen and a ravoili pasta. Both were excellent great favour and served in...large portions. The menu had plenty of options, as did the wine list. The house rose was very good. Service was very friendly, helpful and efficient. It took a little longer than usual to get the entree, but it was a very busy night and the mains arrived in good time. Prices were surprisingly reasonable. Definitely worth a visit
