I only went in there as I was on holiday just up the road from the fish and chip shop. Whatever you do don't ask for a pea fritter. Whatever was in that hot plate look like a pea fritter but it wasn't. It was something completely different which I've never heard of before. I made that mistake. If looks could kill I would be dead. . I take it you don't do pea fritters then . Other than that. Lovely food and great service. I will be definitely popping in the next time I am up that way. I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant this evening. There were so many people trying to get my order right, but it was quite chaotic. The worst part was the chips and curry sauce; the lid on the curry wasn't secured properly, so I ended up with a mess in the bag and had to throw it away. The sausage and chips were also underwhelming. It seems the staff member didn't understand the difference between small and medium sizes, as what we received was more on the small side despite ordering medium. Since when did a small (not a large polystyrene tray) portion of chips cheese gravy cost £6.50 crikey a small ptn of chips £1.50 at the very most, we’re up north remember, handful of cheese 50p and gravy the same, at a push! I work for a food service provider so I know what kind of price point we’re at. If it wasn’t for the fact my growing son was Hank Marvin I’d and inhaled it, I would have taken this right back. He said the girl who served him just ignored him, wasn’t friendly, when he asked for a big fork, at least he knows what poor customer service looks like.
