"When you see the name, you might be surprised to find out that the Grey Horse Inn is not just a pub; it's also the best Chinese takeout in Edinburgh. It has become incredibly popular with locals since they started offering Chinese food during the lockdown, with many calling ahead to reserve their orders. And it is absolutely worth it! We enjoyed it so much that we dined in a few times, savoring our meals alongside a pint. The staff are always friendly, which adds to the great experience!"

beautiful little place, good prices and a nice cozy atmosphere. perfect for a lunch drink at the weekend.

They had two old English sheepdogs at the restaurant, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal. The flavors were fantastic, and the portions were generous. The staff were very helpful and friendly, as were the other patrons in the dining area. I would definitely recommend this place!

Dining here is an incredible experience! The Chinese food is outstanding, and Paul makes a fantastic fish and chips! The service is super friendly, coming from a family-run establishment. They have a vast selection of dishes at Malz and a great variety of ales. It's definitely the best dining option in Balerno and the surrounding area. Be sure to make a reservation to avoid any disappointment!
