"We love coming to Britalia! The food is always amazing and never fails to live up to expectations! Romany is always more than happy to tweak any dish to suit each person. We've been several times over the years either as a table for 2, a table for 4 or even as a table as a table of 15 and there has never been any issue. All the staff at Britalia are lovely and we can't recommend them enough!"

"Visited here last Friday as a group of seven and on arrival was made welcome by the waitress who showed us to our table. We all had different dishes and they were very nice, decent portions and all came out together. I must say that my main of the brisket was a bad choice on my part as I prefer the meat to be shredded (It did state it wasn’t shredded on the menu)but I tried it and it was tasty but not tender enough. The rest of our party enjoyed theirs especially the steak dish. Must say we had a long wait between the starters and mains, nearly a hour but the manager bought us a round of drinks as an apology because the place was really busy. Good job we hadn’t planned to go elsewhere after. The staff were friendly and polite and the place had a good atmosphere and decent choice of drinks. We all said we would return but I would opt for a different main meal."

"track of the eyesight, previously seen, so tried. needed a good clean windows need a cloth. pickle pills a bit crumbling. we ordered veg pilau reis, goan fish curry and fish masala. while he was waiting, another one sent back her veg meal when he had a chicken. our came, fish was fried in the skin, although we said that it “from the bone”. reis was cunning, not great. the family of workmates has a Bengali fish special restaurant in crewe, no comparison between the two. all a little bland. we have eaten in many restaurants and do not go back. had no fuss, said mgt and said we would pay, but not happy, and after just eating a small amount. I just didn't want to. the teufel is in detail, and they did not have the details, yet perhaps the whole picture. is not recommended. Even supermarket trips are better (that says something.) a pity. Now we're too home, it's a bit hard on my own."

"Updated 16.05.24 Booked a table for two on a Wednesday night at 5.30pm. We were late by 20mins. There is no telephone number on the website to call ahead to let them know. We did not receive a booking confirmation so we also did not have that option to try and rebook or cancel. On our arrival the member of staff that greeted us was rude and abrupt. We were told our table was held for 15 mins so we had lost our booking, by 5 mins. This would have been acceptable if the restaurant was full it was not. I went outside and was able to book another table for 6pm but yet we were still turned away! I cannot stress enough how rude and unhelpful the staff member was. We will never return after being good customers for some time. Reply from Ego After asking me to contact them. Good morning, Marie, I am sorry to learn about your disappointment when visiting us but after investigating the matter with our team at Sutton-on-Ashfield. We have been informed you were 30 minutes late for your table. You wouldn’t have been able to book again at 6 pm as we were fully booked. None of our team came across as rude or abrupt in the conversation with you they were just explaining what had happened with your booking.
