Stumbled across Habels Lindenwirtin on our first night in Berlin and what a fantastic find! Lots of choice of traditional dishes and great beer, all in a lovely welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Four very happy customers - thank you!

Gasthaus mit vielen Stammkunden, urig, eng, im Sommer mit Terrasse. Sehr gute deutsche Küche, preiswert.Die Bedienung meist lieb und freundlich, das letzte Mal leider dumm und unfreundlich! Hoffentlich nur die Notbesetzung!Wir gehen trotzdem wieder hin. Der Koch ist klasse!

Staying nearby I decided ..find a typical German restaurant..few hundred meters away was an easy find. Ordered schnitzel and fried potatoes with salad. It filled the plate so this wasnt a small meal. Very nice with a few beers of which you have a good choice. With my limited German and the waiters limited English we did ok in communicating. Would I go back...yes of course.

Die Wirtin nahm unsere Reservation für 43 Turnerinnen und Turner problemlos entgegen. wir konnten uns auf drei Menüs einigen. Alles von hervorragender Qualität und mit einem minimalen Personalbestand (wie machen die das?) in no time serviert.Die Oldies GYM Aargau verbrachten bei der Lindenwirtin einen urgemütlichen Abend. Für Vereine bis 45 Personen, die gut essen möchten bestens zu empfehlen.

My wife and I rented an apartment around the corner from Lindenwirtin on a recent visit to Berlin. As we arrived fairly late in the evening we decided to eat here on our first night. We both ordered the Sauerbraten, which we both agreed was excellent, this was washed down with a couple of nice beers. For the rest of our stay we popped in most evenings for a night cap before heading back to our apartment.

We were stopping in The Ivbergs Messe hotel just round the corner from this restaurant. Happened to come across it by chance. We called in for an afternoon drink and we were pleasantly surprised. Lovely traditional type pub with a small restaurant area. Great beer too ( we went a few times for drinks). We had a meal one night and it was very nice, nothing exceptional but good German food and great service. Would definitely recommend this place.

Eher zufällig hingeraten, hat der Charme der Lindenwirtin überrascht. Mag sein, dass die hinter dem Tresen aufgestellten Weinflaschen Erwartungen wecken, die das Angebot nicht ganz erfüllen kann, mag sein, dass andere Menschen die Wirtin nicht als freundlich einstufen; wir wurden mit sprödem Berliner Charme gut bedient. Wichtig: der Salat war sehr frisch und reichlich, der Matjes liebevoll angerichtet und lecker, die Bulette so, wie man es in Berlin erwartet. Das Angebot orientiert sich an Hausmannskost - nach einem harten Arbeitstag ist das genau das richtige.

We really hoped we will have nice german dinner there, but it was disappointing. We both ordered goose liver with smashed potatoes and that was what we got but there was nothing what makes it a good gastronomic experience, just a big amount of meat and a little potato and in the top of that, the waiter totally ignored us after he served the dish, I wanted to order some other beer and some dessert, but after 15 minutes we decided to leave. With the german customers the waiter asked them very nicely in every 2 minutes if they need anything, so it was weird and discriminating. Not nice impression at all.
