"We have been visiting the Harbour Fish and Grill for many years. We were disappointed this time. We arrived at the restaurant, sat down, and looked forward to our meal. The room seemed soulless, not atmosphere, a bit of background music might have helped. Now, this is a very fish/seafood based restaurant. One of my party does not eat sea food so asked the waitress if anything could be done about the steak dish which had scallops and lobster gravy (in the past they have gone into the kitchen to ask the chef and have always accomated us with an ammened dish). She said, No, but you can 't taste the lobster in the gravy which wasn 't the point, really. Also asked we could have some bread and olives to start, the waitress sarcastically replied 'it 's artisan bread, is that ok, we don 't have olives ' we felt that she had a bit of an attitude. Three of us ordered fish and chips, and one ordered the lamb ragu. The food came out very quick, literally 5 minutes after the waitress took the order, thought that was odd. The fish came with a sardine ketchup, and a few pickles. None of us liked the sardine ketchup, it was a much better dish when the fish was served with tartar sauce and peas. My fish had several bones, which I find off putting. A good fish restaurant should know how to fillet a fish well. The ragu was ok, but it seemed like a lot of money for a pasta dish. The desserts haven 't changed that much over the years. Quite sweet, they look fancy but don 't deliver on taste. As for the drinks, bottles of wine start at £32 and the soft drinks come in very small bottles, so if you have thirsty kids, prepare to spend a lot. We felt the service was rushed, we were in there for less than an hour, when you are spending that much money on a meal you expect for it to be leisurely and not feel like you are being pushed out the door. Overall, we were very disappointed, like we were last year, it used to be our favourite restaurant, now we feel it 's trying to be fancy for fancy sake. Go back to doing good, simple food, please."

Perfect...from the warm and friendly welcome on arrival plus complimentary drinks, our beautiful room, the delicious food and the most beautiful setting and views you could wish for...this is truly a gorgeous place to stay/visit.

We loved it there, excellent evening food, we were looked after by Jodie and Cory Crook, we highly recommend this restaurant. Our food was delicious we had Sea Bass and Salmon Linguine, followed by Eaton Mess and Baileys cheesecake delicious. We look forward to seeing you all again very soon.

had an excellent Sunday dinner, shared a starter between 3 and then the beautiful roast beef fell into the mouth. my sweet, the rice pudding was delicious and I didn't want it to end, various tastes and textures in contrast to other rice pudding I've ever had. is annoying that I traveled today to retford and I have to wait a few months before I am back in cornwall to visit again. very friendly staff, this is a beautiful Spanish lady. you will be back

Overpriced and underwhelming. Frankly, disappointing. We were three generations two grandparents, two children and two grandchildren. A bowl of pasta for a 4 year old was £8.50 and basic fish and chips (the cheapest thing on the menu) was £21.50 As for the drinks, they charge £10.20 for a 175ml Viognier and £5 for a bottle of still water. No mention was made of tapwater. There might be some justification for those prices if the cooking or service were exceptional but both were average at best. eg. 2 ribbons of tough leek and 4 strands of samphire is a garnish, not vegetables for a main course.
