"My family and I (2 adults and 3 children) have been twice in the last 2 week. First time on a Saturday tea time and we all had burgers or fish and chips, all absolutely delicious home cooked food...second time today and we all had Sunday lunch of roast beef apart from youngest who had chicken strips off the kids menu and again the roast was delicious and home cooked along with all the vegs...even my youngest battered chicken strips were made from scratch and not from a packet...Paul the chef is great and personally serves you your food and always comes back to check if everything thing is ok and is genuinely a lovely bloke..all portions are filling including meals off the children's menu...prices are very reasonable and definitely value for money...well worth a visit"

was only for tee with the grandchildren, each meal was excellent I had steak and ale pie my wife had ribs granson a massive burger and enkel the fish from the children's menu, everything was freshly cooked and from a high standard to a very reasonable price, will definitely return again

steak and ale pier is amazing! no flowing pastry separated from the meat and gravy in the standard cake bowl! no, it is a real cake, with large pieces of delicate meat, wimping of gravure and amazing shortcrust bakery <3 fish cake is also good with massive pieces fish chef is nice! keen to know how their meal is, time for a chat is too good! well done!
