"The sonnenhof is probably the best hotel in Kresbron. It sits high up and looks over the lake which is nice. Good things.- Food is first class fine dining. highly recomended.- Room was clean and modern- Staff friendly- Breakfasts good, loads of choice.- Good gym at end of drive (you have to pay extra)Negatives- Rooms small- Sterile character(but most german hotels are)- I think its quite pricey (luckily work pay!)If i were staying in Kresborn id certainly check this hotel out or book into one of the apartment rooms at the Gierer. To be honest you wont go wrong here and the foods fantastic !!!!"

"Das gastronomische Erlebnis im Villino war zweifellos eine Delikatesse für die Sinne. Von der eleganten Atmosphäre bis hin zur vorzüglichen Küche und dem ausgezeichneten Service bot das Restaurant eine bemerkenswerte kulinarische Erfahrung. Wir waren vor sehr langer Zeit (15 Jahren+ schon mal hier und damals schon ziemlich begeistert von unserem Besuch. Doch der jetzige Aufenthalt im Hotel verbunden mit Restaurant Besuch hat unsere Erwartungen durchaus übertroffen. Zum Hotel: Dieses charmante, kleine Hotel vereint eine idyllische Lage mit einer herzlichen Atmosphäre und exzellentem Service. Die sorgfältig ausgewählten Details, von der eleganten Einrichtung bis hin zu den Blumenarrangements, trugen zur Entspannung und Erholung bei. Das herausragendste Merkmal des Hotels war zweifellos das außergewöhnlich freundliche Serviceteam. Jedes Mitglied des Teams strahlte eine aufrichtige Wärme und Gastfreundschaft aus, die unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich machte. Sie waren stets aufmerksam und hilfsbereit, und ihre herzliche Art machte uns das Gefühl, Teil einer großen Familie zu sein (klingt kitschig, ist aber so . Ah und dann war noch das Frühstück!! Herrlich! Kein Buffet, aber es gab alles was Herz und Magen begehren und ja, auch hier war der Service einfach perfekt! Schade war es nur, dass wir auf der Durchreise waren und nur eine Nacht geblieben sind! Aber wir werden wieder kommen."

"gauchos is not in the middle of nowhere, but in the evening we visited, it had completely filled shortly after the opening around 18 o'clock! the restaurant is cozy and atmospheric with good music and due to its location, much free parking. the menu is extensive...with all traditional favorites; we shared the nachos with cheese starters that served with hot salsa, guacamole and acid cream dips and is definitiw big enough for two! I chose the veggie fajitas for my main course and was amazed what the chef managed to do with some paprika, swirling and mushrooms (which I would normally leave and the tasty addition of spinat and cube cheese. the combination of aromen was sweet, deep and tasty! the tortillas were really soft and were presented under a sombrero lid! the fajitas were served with the usual salat, salsa, guacamole and acidic cream. my Co-Eater chose the steak burrito and noticed how it was much less stony than some burritos when it was filled with wobblen instead of rice and was served with a large byhalate. sadly, after the above table we had no place to dessert, but were offered free tequilas. I would definitely recommend to eat here, but be sure to book a table as it is a very popular choice!"

"Also on this year's holiday, a visit to the Wildenten expert Witzigmann was not allowed to be missed, although at the present time the offer of the chapel of asparagus or Pfifferlingsgerichts and others can be clearly presented. However, I tend to lean on the side of the Wilden Group. On the history of the house, on the ambience and cleanliness, I have already reported on pleasure elsewhere and therefore I do not want to repeat myself here either. Service: The complete crew of the previous year is still there, of course, for a very good operating climate. When I was on the spot to order a table for the evening, the service and kitchen team just sat down with the staff dinner; As I have seen, the employees are also very neatly used. This also holds, in addition to proper payment, of course the staff at the bar. The service here always runs like lubricated, very friendly, very competent, change requests compared to (also without extra charge completely open-minded. I have not drank such a good sour cherry for many years; when we were hired at the Brenn-Witzigmanns during the holidays to buy something for home, this Sauerkirsch was not to have. It's a pity, we took Williamsbirne and Brombeergeist as a substitute. An appetizer did not want my wife this time; as the main course she took the onion roast with homemade latency and supplement salad (EUR 16,80). I ordered as an appetizer pastet with wild ragout, orange slices and sour cherries (EUR 6.80 and as main dish 1/2 wild bottom lake with filled must apple and potato crustles (EUR 16.30). I was very done by both courts; they fully fulfilled my expectations, and I would rather have seen it at the main dish if monasteries were placed on my plate instead of the potato crustles. It would certainly not have been a problem; I had simply forgotten to ask. When ordering the various Wildenhauptgerichts, the service always asks whether the kitchen should remove the duck bones (in this case ordered by the service as a rubberente or left in place in the animal). I had decided for the rubbers today. My wife was satisfied with her onion roast; as she said, the meat had been a little tenderer on the eve (Adler grill plate at the competition. But a nice result; because the portions (as we do not know otherwise from here were very usual, we did not order Desserts this time. For dinner, I forgive four stars."

"Mit den Tipps aus "Die Köche" gehe ich eigentlich nie fehl und ein Besuch im Schachener Hof war schon lange auf meiner Wunschliste. Leider ist es mit den Öffnungszeiten bei vielen der Lokale nur abends möglich seinen Gaumenfreuden zu frönen. Sonntagmittag öffnet der Schachener Hof ab 12h zu meiner großen Freude und so war es endlich soweit bei herrlichem Wetter einmal mit dem Fahrrad vorbeizuschauen und das Gourmetrestaurant kennenzulernen. Ein kleiner Tisch im Schatten bot sich bei Temperaturen um die 30 Grad geradezu an. Freundlich empfangen staunte ich nicht schlecht über die Auswahl und die zwei Menüvorschläge. Sehr originell unter den Vorspeisen Luthers Leibspeise(Brathering, Erbsenmousse und Matjestatar), originell auch in Zubereitungund Präsentation(wunderbar die Blümchen!) , perfekt im Genuss!!! Danach Ceviche vom irischen Biolachs auf Gemüse, ausgesprochen fein und etwas pikant gewürzt und ideal an einem heißen Sommertag. Die handgeschriebene Menü- und Weinkarte ließ auch an der Wahl eines guten Weines kein Zögern aufkommen, mit Unterstützung durch die Chefin ging es leichter. Einziger Wermutstropfen die Kosten für Leitungswasser: 2 mal 0,5 Liter um 2€, das wäre in so einem feinen Haus eigentlich nicht nötig! Insgesamt aber ein großes Lob an Thomas Kraus und sein Team für herzliche authentische Gastfreundschaft, ich komme bestimmt wieder!"
