I would never think that a hidden gem like this could exist in an out of sight location. Excellent food (holy €!!! And even better drinks. Amazing.

So, I went back to Ong Tao today and was set on getting a nice curry... but when I walked in, I was informed that the pho recipe has changed a bit and I was stoked to try it again after my first experience and hopefully change my mind. I can confirm, it was 100 times better this time! Great and fresh herbs, flavor depth, and just an overall fantastic experience. I am so happy to have found my delicious pho in Frankfurt and it just so happens to be right beside where I live! Thanks Ong Tao!

Food is good. Pho bo is on the sweet side. Not my cup of tea. Prefer a more savory version. Best in frankfurt is still Vipho when it comes to pho. Tried their dumpling and summer rolls. Dumpling was delish. 5 stars for that. Summer rolls sauce was yumm. The ambience is top. Love the lanterns hanging outside and the rustic style. Reminds me of vietnam. Service is also good. Attentive. Drinks are yumm. Lychee mix was refreshing. I would recommend it and I would go back again. But i would rather go to vipho again if i had to pick

I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee, fresh coconut, egg rolls, and the pork vermicelli. My favorite was the coconut and the egg roll. The coconut was cold and was very refreshing. The egg roll skin was flavorful and the skin crispy, and light. The Vietnamese iced coffee was ok. The type of coffee used is not the traditional cafe du monde that I like. The pork cut in the vermicelli is pork belly. It is a little too fatty for me. It is deconstructed so you have to put it together in the little bowl to eat it. The presentation is very cute.

I eat a lot of Vietnamese food for some reason. It's not because it's my favorite or even close to it, but sometimes I want lots of vegetables and Vietnamese food is a wonderful choice for that. By the way, I'm not a vegetarian. Anyway, to the point. I love the vegetarian spring rolls here. They are perfectly crispy and the sauce is exactly the right blend of sweet and spicy. The balance in the flavors really puts a smile on my face. My one issue here is that there are too many flies and wasps buzzing around if you eat outside because they have a big plant in water in the seating area. They need some kind of repellent for that.

Five BIG stars for this place!!! I had the pleasure to attend a Yelp Elite Event and have dinner with other nice Yelpers in Ong Tao. There was nothing about this place that I did not like!!! The decoration is spectacular, the ambience is cozy, service is impeccable and the food... oh the food!! Especially the summer rolls with fish sauce were so tasty and genuine and the prawns with coconut, delicious... at the end of the meal it feels like you travelled with your mouth ; Aaaand the cocktail with lime and ginger was an amazing way to end the night. I have been here a few times and I love it. Everything from the food to the décor is brilliant and they have air conditioning! oh and more importantly I live a stones throw away making this place also practical! The food is great and there are weekly specials which all sound brilliant, sadly I cant afford to eat out every day and try them all! every dish I have had so far has been great. The summer rolls are also incredibly tasty and enjoyable! 3 stars cause the service left quite a bit to be desired. We arrived at 6.10 pm with no reservations. Some tables were occupied but not all of them by all means and the waitress still gave me a bit of a stinky eye when I asked for a table for a party of 6. Of course, I found one easily. Where to even start with this one? Unique location, great setting, friendly staff, tasty food, and a bit of fusion makes this quite the find in an area filled with Mediterranean restaurants. This restaurant is best approached on foot, to work up an appetite. Right across the street from a sightly park of greens, this restaurant is very much a sight for sore eyes(and hungry tummies , and very specifically Vietnamese--with some fantastic fusion.
