"The food was excellent, but the service was alarmingly slow. We even had to inquire about the arrival of our main courses. The landlord kindly offered to comp our second round of drinks as an apology, but it still felt like we had been overlooked. We had a lovely meal here. The crab cocktail was especially good as a starter. All of the food was excellent and sourced locally. There is a great selection of craft beers, we didn't have wine. The service was friendly and spot on, no upselling etc. Family run and I recommend this to all. You even get tourist tips and the Yarg cheese is also superb.
