"The starters were all tempting and portion size was adequate. I wasn't as inspired by the main course choice. The slow cooked beef was tasty, though the accompanying horseradish mash was too strong for my taste. Very small amount of veg. Again, portion size was sufficient. Although ice cream by itself was not on the pudding menu, I requested and was served assorted ices. Service was friendly and efficient. The set menu price is good value."

Really good choice of lovely home cooked food. Particularly helpful and understanding over my food intolerances which means I always really enjoy eating here. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The cocktails are great too!

Excellent course lunch of fish soup pork and catch of the day but the dessert of ginger sponge let everything down. It was lacking in any ginger flavour and was an extremely thin portion, the ice cream just tasted of vanilla not clotted cream. Such a pity as we have been on numerous occasions. The service was fine.

Always delicious food at Hinnies. We had the game terrine and ham black pudding for starter. Both delicious. For main we had fish of the day. Very nice. And slow cooked beef. Beef was lovely but the sauce was too salty which took the flavour away from the vegetables. The serving staff were very friendly and helpful.
