"we went to an important birthday and that was a really great place to go for a big celebration. it was a sixteen cursor menu, which largely consists of a series of really attractive and tasty snacks, several not more than a few mouthfuls. the wine pairings were excellent and worked very well with eating. we really felt looked around how they fed us after curs. the atmosphere was really relaxed, highly polished, but not ostentatious. the personal was really friendly and was very well informed about every cure as it was made and could answer those we had how they were made so delicious! the breakfast next morning was amazing, a real smorgasbord. we would go back in a heartbeat!"

There is not much in the way of vegan fine food in the northeast so Hjem is a real jewel. They offer a fully vegan tasting menu for £120 that includes 18 different dishes. Absolutely amazing food and excellent service. You need to book ahead (as months before)

outstanding experience for a birthday contract. 15 course menu that was great. eating is nice, fine dining room quality, but it felt in the service / atmosphere not so. we stayed the night, room was in order (hotel by gradual renovation), then the breakfast was another tasty bite with beautifully landscaped dining on the morning.

We had an amazing 14 course taster meal here yesterday. All gluten free!! I've been coeliac for 30 years and have become used to missing little treats, but I had 14 of them yesterday, everyone of them special. The staff are very helpful, friendly and unpretentious. I really recommend it for coeliacs, so tasty, even the special home made gf bread was the best I've ever had and the Fika at the end was unbelievable. Superb day!
