See review attached to the review for the hotel avoid like the plague breakfast was a dreadful experience, cold food, inattentive staff and a poor manager

Went for lunch on December 8th we ordered 2 x Ceaser Salad (one with chicken one with anchovy) and 2 x club sandwiches. The wait was almost 1 hour, it wasn't busy. No explanation or apology. I would not recommend.

Went for a dinner with a few friends last Thursday and had such a fun time. Daniel, the host during the evening was so warm and welcoming and so was the waiter serving us sorry, couldn’t catch his name! Thank you for the great experience, we will be back soon x

We tried to eat here however it was impossible, they did not have most of the dishes we wanted even after we were informed that some dishes were not available. Make sure your staff knows accurately what is not available to avoid people standing up from the table and leave unhappy. The waitress was polite and apologetic, We work in this industry so is extreamely rare we leave a bad review, this place deserve one.

Recommended by a friend who was unable to attend, lucky him!!!Service was poor as we needed to attract attention for everything and it wasn’t busy. Main courses served on cold plates and a side of broccoli was also served virtually cold. Although it was brought to the attention of the serving staff nothing was done to compensate us. Unfortunately the bill was sorted while I was away from the table otherwise the gratuity would have been drastically reduced. First and last visit.

why why why do staff in most London restaurants (not all) think they can be condescending, patronising and rude? This is a number one put off for me. Why should i spend my well earned salary in these joints? Went with a large client group last week and was giving the stewardess our order but she wasn 't writing it down. When someone jokingly asked ' will you remember all that ' her look of disgust and response says it all. AND GUESS WHAT, she got the order totally wrong. Nope, wont be returning and neither will the guests.

I've been coming to the Hoxton Grill for 8+ years and can only say the experience has been decreasing. I typically only leave positive reviews but feel compelled to write this negative one given my disappointment in a place I've historically thoroughly enjoyed. At the bar we were given an end of a barrel pint that splurted out the pump, this wasn't accepted and sent back, once service charge was applied to the price (an Americanism? you were looking at £15 for two shoddy beers. We then sat down for dinner. OK food, great service spoilt by rude and and aggressive manager. The maitre 'd was excellent. She is relatively new in the job and was delightful. However, the potatoes in my salmon dish arrived cold. She was most apologetic and asked the kitchen staff to redo it. Ten minutes passed and my partner had almost finished his chicken dish, and no waiters came by our table. I finally got out of my seat and asked about my salmon. The maitre 'd was upset the kitchen was so slow so I asked for 2 glasses of red wine by way of compensation. She said she 'd have to OK it with her manager. I 've not stayed in the Hotel but have used the restaurant, bar and lounge area on several occasions 1] Getting served in the lounge takes while. Often have to call a staff member over as they will walk past several times without stopping. 2] When having breakfast meeting on one occasion, sitting in a restaurant area that was no more than 1/3 full I wasn 't allowed to show my colleague something on my laptop sitting in the dining booth. 'In case it disturbed the other diners '! It wasn 't a YouTube clip of a rock concert, it was an Excel table of figures.
