"we stayed in the hotel next to the restaurant and arrived early in the morning and thought from some reason that the restaurant was closed for the season. we have broken up for the day to visit sights and eat in heidelberg. When we came back, we saw that the restaurant was actually open, and went in to drink a glass of wine with our friends and chat about our daily adventures. the place is an absolute joy! the personal was wonderful and accommodating. we sat at the bar and had a great bottle of wine, which the waiter recommended from sicily. it didn't disappoint us. they served us freshly prepared bruschetta and some wonderful olives. I'm sorry we didn't have dinner there!"
