"Our usual place was closed so decided to try out the Shanghai kitchen. Went in and ordered and the food was ready almost immediately (which made me slightly dubious) but still the food was hot so took it home to tuck in. The egg fried rice was beautiful however cutting into the chicken balls they were pink on the inside which is immediately off putting and the chicken in the ‘chicken with cashew nuts’ was barely cooked and slimy. We packed all the food back up and returned it to the takeaway where they refused to give us a refund stating/shouting/arguing the food was cooked fine. The two chefs came out shouting too. Very upset with the service and after 20 minutes finally managed to leave with my refund. Would not recommend unless you’re fond of undercooked chicken and rude staff."

Served me raw chicken in two dishes. Took it back to complain. Lady at the counter understood. Chefs then start shouting at me telling me the food was fine. Clearly not safe to eat here.

The last two times we opted for delivery or takeout from our usual restaurant, it was very slow. This time, it took over two hours, which I understand may be due to the impact of Covid-19 causing them to be busy, but this is unacceptable. Additionally, the food was cold. In all the years we have lived in bedford, takeaways come and go on Tavvers but the Shanghai kitchen remains! The takeaways are always hot and delicious, no matter what we try or decide to stick to, we get them always within 10 mins of ordering (we always walk in and order) and the staff at the desk are always friendly and remember us. No complaints here.

I used to go here to eat good food, so I left and tried some other chinese. After about a year I noticed that I left on the plate due to the taste and lack of food. today decided to try shanghai again, not only was it better than the others it was far superior when I remembered the dishes ozing taste and the curry sauce is the best I ever had in 50 years of Chinese food. will leave her again.

We were told right from when we ordered that it was an extraordinarily busy night for the restaurant and we’d be waiting one and a half hours for the food to be delivered. We loved the honesty, the food was delivered just slightly later than that but was so worth the wait. The hot and sour soup was very hot and very delicious as were the other dishes we ordered. Will definitely be ordering again. Especially good not to have to go through Just Eat to order which has let us down several times. Thank you. Visualizza piatti

I ordered food for delivery and it arrived 1 hour and 20 minutes late and cold. When I called the restaurant to let them know, they insisted that the food left the kitchen warm. I politely explained that it may have left warm, but it did not arrive warm as I had to reheat it in the oven and microwave. They did not offer to replace the food, take it back, or refund me the £52 I paid, which is a violation of my consumer rights. Instead, they were rude and kept insisting that the food left warm. Poor service, and they have lost me as a customer.

I have ordered from this takeaway several times before, but the meal I had this evening was terrible. It was heavily overwhelmed with chili peppers, which completely masked the flavors of the food. When I contacted the takeaway to discuss my disappointment, I was interrupted and blamed for mixing up the different dishes on my plate. Despite ordering the same dishes from this takeaway weekly for the past year, we were unable to eat any of it due to the extreme spiciness. The lack of customer service was shocking, and I will not be ordering from this takeaway again. I do not recommend it to anyone. "My previous experience dining at Tana Thai was nothing short of faultless and second to none in both service and the quality of authentic Thai food served. So I had high expectations for my second visit and was not left disappointed. We ordered the Thai experience for 2 for £27, which in my opinion was excellent value for money. The staff once again were welcoming and accomodating ensuring we had an enjoyable and pleasant dining experience. Tana Thai manages to deliver a varied menu with generous portion sizes. If your looking for authentic Thai flavours with subtle flavour combinations of hot, spicy, sweet, and sour then Thana Thai gets a A+ from me every time. We will definitely back in the future. My friend and I dined at Tana Thai for the first time tonight, we were not disappointed. We have dined at other Thai restaurants in Bedford and would certainly place Tana Thai along side the best of them for flavour and authenticity. The service from the staff was both friendly and prompt. The mixed starter for two was filling and tasty, with the Thai spring rolls certainly being the star of the show. We ordered beef in black bean sauce with egg fried rice and a mixed seafood pad thai. The beef was succulent and tender and the seafood was cooked perfectly with a mixture of crushed nuts on the side for texture. An excellent meal and excellent service, thank you."

"My recent visit to Deshi Spice Indian restaurant in Bedford was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. The flavors in every dish we tried were exquisite, and it's clear that the chefs at Deshi Spice are masters of their craft. One standout dish for me was the chicken tikka masala, which was creamy and packed with flavor. The naan bread was fresh and perfectly cooked, a great accompaniment to the curries. "Reminiscing about the great time we had at this place last night! We spent the weekend in Bedford visiting relatives and decided to book this place, because we’re big pizza fiends and the reviews meant it made sense! Have not stopped thinking about the food all day! If you’re lucky enough to know what a proper Neapolitan pizza tastes like and have been chasing the dream of tasting it again… look no further! If you haven’t been to Naples before, then this place takes you there and back in one evening! This is hands down the best pizza outside of Naples! In fact I would go as far as to say that it could easily hold its own amongst the 100s of pizzerias in its birth City! The restaurant itself is casually quirky… named after the owner’s mother, with photos to couple that offer a little glimpse into the owners background with Italian memorabilia for days… including a real vesper hanging on a shelf from the ceiling, you’re hit with the scent of the wood fired oven as soon as you walk through the doors letting you know instantly that you’re in for a treat… the real deal! The relaxed, but upbeat vibe coupled with the warm and attentive welcome and service from the owner and the staff meant it was only fair to start with a round of Aperol Spritzes, which was followed by a number of bottles of delicious Primitivo throughout the meal that ultimately led to some singing and dancing at the end of our meal! We allowed the owner to recommend lots of things off the menu to share and boy did he not disappoint! Everything from pizzas, to pizza rolls to bruschetta meant that we were all able to try the classic Neapolitan pizza base with various different flavours! Highly recommend trying the Pizza Tartufo if you like truffle! I’m Italian and visit Naples most years and the pizza base is up there with the best I’ve tried! Hats off to the pizzaiolas as mastering this culinary delight is not easy! The pork meatballs in tomato sauce and oven roasted cracked pepper and salty ribs were delicious! But aside from the extremely high quality of the pizzas it was a bowl full of cheese and charcuterie that stole the show! Imagine a huge ball of creamy burrata that when cut open released loads of tiny balls of morzarella! It was truly next level! I have never seen or tasted anything quite like it! We finished with a round of espressos and some traditional Italian pastries, which were out of this world! We had such a lovely evening from the food to the wine, service to the vibe it really was exceptional! The only thing I wasn’t happy about was leaving, knowing that this restaurant isn’t on my doorstep! The only saving grace is the avoided damage it would do to my waistline if it was, as I would be here every weekend! Cannot wait to go back!"

"I spent good Friday evening with my wife and the fantastic hosts of the 2likeus Bistro Lino and Roberto. The rustic Italian food Lino creates is truly a feast for your taste buds and you certainly won't go home hungry. We started the evening with starters of homemade meatballs for my wife and artichokes for myself. The meatballs were fresh, tasty and cooked to order. The tomato sauce was indulgent and had a real depth of flavour. The artichokes were cooked perfectly and still had a slight bite to them, a great starter for any vegetarian or food lover. For our mains I ordered the seabass which was beautifully cooked which I highly recommend you try. My wife had the Rib Eye steak drizzled with orange balsamic , sautéed potatoes salad and cherry tomatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly and just to my wifes taste. We've both been to 2likeus many times now. Lino and Roberto always deliver great food and great service. Thanks again for another lovely evening. We'll be back that's a promise!!"

"Now that we can walk to a decent curryhouse, we are visiting our favourite Bangladeshi restaurant in Bedford far less often, which is ridiculous when the food is so superior! Tonight all 5 of us loved our delicious meals. I had my usual vegan pathia, which was the best I’ve ever tasted, (always a good indicator of a great restaurant, when every time you eat there, the food is the best you’ve ever tasted! The bonus tonight though was being informed that they have stopped using ghee in their pilau rice, so now, apart from the keema rice, every other rice is suitable for vegans so I had the coconut rice . We’ll be back again soon!!"
