Our favourite place for vegan food in the Canary Islands. So tasty and freshly prepared for us.. Beautiful complex aromas show that the cook is a perfectionist.. Very recommended

Delicious vegan options in El Hierro. Generally, it is difficult to find vegan options in the Canary Islands next to Papas arrugas and salads. Food tastes good, nice serving, friendly stuff. Nice surprise.

I had a really nice meal and although there was only a short time available to eat, the staff were very adaptable and recommended an excellent vegan option from the (omni) menu. The food was presented beautifully and the view looking out at the church and over the city is great. I agree with a very high recommendation.

There are no vegan or vegetarian restaurants in the small island of El Hierro and vegan options in local bars are limited usually to potatoes with 2 sauces (papas con mojo). After some days eating potatoes we made a great discovery in La Frontera town. In Joapira restaurant the owner knew very well what vegan meant and she offered us at least 4 dishes, we tried mushroom risotto, fresh salad, zucchini carpaccio and potatoes (much better than in any other place). During our iron holidays we went to eat for two days. the first time we call the previous day to book and tell us about the available vegan options. We ate on the pleasant terrace, on the first occasion we enjoyed a red quinoa salad with fruit, mushroom risotto, tofu with pesto and roasted eggplants, sliced chickpeas with vegetables. All exquisite, our children also loved food. On the second day the cook surprised us with a juicy falafel with salsa, a new salad to share, a full dish with red rice, stew vegetables and seitan. we even enjoyed a dessert cake and tropical fruit. As for the price, we ate two adults and two children for less than 40 euros/day. the amounts of rations are abundant....

Durante nuestras vacaciones en El Hierro fuimos dos días a comer a Joapira. La primera vez llamamos el día antes para reservar e informarnos sobre las opciones veganas disponibles. Comimos en la agradable terraza, en la primera ocasión disfrutamos de una ensalada de quinoa roja con fruta, risotto de setas, tofu con pesto y berenjenas asadas, garbanzos salteados con verduras... todo exquisito, a nuestros hijos también les encantó la comida.
