"Looked forward to dining at Gogärtchen as I have enjoyed it for many years. Was shocked following my experience tonight. Was seated in bar area despite the fact that the outside dining room had plenty of available space. Service was initially pleasant. Server took my order for salad, entree and drink. Salad was delivered within minutes. It was ok, but not up to the quality of previous meals here. I waited politely and patiently, for an hour, for entree to arrive. The server never returned to check on me despite looking at me numerous times. Another server asked if I wanted coffee. I told him I would like my meal first. My server finally returned and ask if everything was ok. I advised that I hadn't received my meal. She seemed surprised and then told me her colleague hadn't entered my entree into the order system. Nor had she bothered to follow up. I asked to speak with Patrick, the manager. He slowly came to my table. He offered a very unsatisfactory explanation: It is the end of a long season and the staff are tired If this is true, he should close the restaurant instead of providing loyal customers poor service. He offered nothing in the way of apology. Perhaps this explains why all of the restaurants on the Strönwai were busy and lively and Gogärtchen was nearly empty. Terribly disappointing. I will contact Michelin to report."

"I was at lunch with my 3 adult children on the first Christmas holiday and we were absolutely thrilled. A great service with very friendly staff, absolutely great experience at the table grill and the food quality top. recommend at any time. Our expectations were exceeded."

"We found this place by coincidence searching the web. Initially we wanted to go to the Strandhaube which to our surprise is closed. After some disoriented but funny walk through the dunes we found this lovely place having a great sea and sunset view. The food is delicious, the style of the restaurant is relaxed but still way above average without being posh. The people working there are very nice too. We loved it that much that we went three times with our kids and friends. Reading the ratings here I was a bit shocked. I didn’t know the former place but feel that the Kaamps7 is the exact right thing for us! As non German friends might read this I am writing the review in English. In German: ich kann das Gemeckere beim besten Willen nicht nachvollziehen! Coole Location, cooles Esses, coole Leute, cooler Service und angemessener Preis. Ausschilderung könnte besser sein:"

"I'm sorry that I don't miss 5.The restaurant is top and would have actually earned 5 points but there are air up. we have got a table for 8 people, only for this there should be 5 points when you call in the high season on the same day and make a table for so many feasible. Unfortunately, one has taken over precisely because the service did not come after, either I have to cancel this or have another waiter for such eventualities. the service super friendly and competent, the chef gives himself with gas but you still did not come after, the drinks have taken half an hour, the foods were taken directly with an addition: "Don't order so different dips, otherwise I get annoyed with the kitchen" or so similar. you can understand but you could sell with a small dip card for large groups or similar better. we were then amazed because eating in contrast to the drinks came very fast, in a top quality (kitchen 5 points). after the guests were gone from the first layer, everything calmed down and the service was back in routine mode. we had another nice evening, with a friesenrahm looking for his same. for this dessert gets the kitchen 10 points. we are happy to come back and I would like to apologize again for 4 and not 5 points."

"We chose to try out this restaurant after all the wonderful reviews and I guess that is the problem with reading reviews. You go with high expectations. We ordered two different burgers and a portion of the house fries. The meat was very good and done medium, just like they stated in the menu. Excellent. The veggies that came with the burger were very fresh. I had the bacon burger. Unfortunately, I felt that the burger was spoilt by the sauce. There was just too much of a creamy sauce at the bottom, on the bread, and because the rucola and fried onions were stuck to it, I couldn't really scrape it off cos I wanted to eat the lovely veggies and onions. The other burger, the Jalapeno burger, was good and the jalapenos were really spicy. :)I felt the big disappointment were the homemade fries. They seem to have been made of mashed potato, piped into hot oil. The mash soaked up the oil while being fried and came out as strings of oil-soaked, crunchy 'fries'. If you order these, you mustn't be someone who eats healthily cos one portion of these fries will kill any diet you've been working on.Didn't try anything else but the lady at the next table ordered a bratwurst and she said it was good.The seating area in the garden is lovely. I'd recommend going to this restaurant but avoid the homemade fries if you are health conscious and tell them to put the sauce on the side."
