"Looked forward to dining at Gogärtchen as I have enjoyed it for many years. Was shocked following my experience tonight. Was seated in bar area despite the fact that the outside dining room had plenty of available space. Service was initially pleasant. Server took my order for salad, entree and drink. Salad was delivered within minutes. It was ok, but not up to the quality of previous meals here. I waited politely and patiently, for an hour, for entree to arrive. The server never returned to check on me despite looking at me numerous times. Another server asked if I wanted coffee. I told him I would like my meal first. My server finally returned and ask if everything was ok. I advised that I hadn't received my meal. She seemed surprised and then told me her colleague hadn't entered my entree into the order system. Nor had she bothered to follow up. I asked to speak with Patrick, the manager. He slowly came to my table. He offered a very unsatisfactory explanation: It is the end of a long season and the staff are tired If this is true, he should close the restaurant instead of providing loyal customers poor service. He offered nothing in the way of apology. Perhaps this explains why all of the restaurants on the Strönwai were busy and lively and Gogärtchen was nearly empty. Terribly disappointing. I will contact Michelin to report."

"Es gibt eine gute Auswahl an veganen Spießen und mehrere vegane Beilagen zwischen denen man wählen kann. Ich habe mich für den Räuchertofu Spieß und der Süßkartoffel mit Guacamole entschieden, was beides super lecker war! Dazu gab es eine Auswahl an Soßen Updated from previous review on 2023-08-19"

"In the Kaamps7 it's just nice, we've been there more often. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the decor is beautifully cozy maritim and therefore very friendly and the view from the restaurant to the sea is fantastic. The food is very delicious, very much attention to detail. The card is small and finely held, where everyone becomes fusing. A great and attentive service. We will surely come back very often!"

"we were to be hosted as a big group (9 people) in the fichtner’s. the restaurant made a nice impression at the beginning, but became increasingly unpleasant by the increasingly strange and intrusive owner. when we were led to our table, there was no chair, so we took one of an uncovered and unoccupied neighbours. followed the first order of the owner who complained that we did not ask if we could take the chair. when we wanted to order, we were first praised by the schollenfilet, which was unfortunately out. That was not bad, is it his humor, we thought. one of us wanted to order a barley dish, which was unfortunately also out. Nevertheless, eating was good, so a star for it. the waiter seemed a little scared, but were very friendly.We actually decided against a dessert because according to the owners there was no time left and we had to decide within a minute. After, however, we were told persistently to order a frying cream, we finally gave up and ordered a portion.Since our credit card was not accepted during the payment process, due to a communication error between the waiter and us a somewhat lower drinking money than planned. when we left the restaurant, the owner on the street made us a scene that "the 10-15 euro would not hurt us any more." easy to grasp! with this the really nice evening (with the really good food) became an experience that we do not want to repeat."

"We chose to try out this restaurant after all the wonderful reviews and I guess that is the problem with reading reviews. You go with high expectations. We ordered two different burgers and a portion of the house fries. The meat was very good and done medium, just like they stated in the menu. Excellent. The veggies that came with the burger were very fresh. I had the bacon burger. Unfortunately, I felt that the burger was spoilt by the sauce. There was just too much of a creamy sauce at the bottom, on the bread, and because the rucola and fried onions were stuck to it, I couldn't really scrape it off cos I wanted to eat the lovely veggies and onions. The other burger, the Jalapeno burger, was good and the jalapenos were really spicy. :)I felt the big disappointment were the homemade fries. They seem to have been made of mashed potato, piped into hot oil. The mash soaked up the oil while being fried and came out as strings of oil-soaked, crunchy 'fries'. If you order these, you mustn't be someone who eats healthily cos one portion of these fries will kill any diet you've been working on.Didn't try anything else but the lady at the next table ordered a bratwurst and she said it was good.The seating area in the garden is lovely. I'd recommend going to this restaurant but avoid the homemade fries if you are health conscious and tell them to put the sauce on the side."
