This Café is pretty new and offers coffee, tea, cake and the likes in a trendy place. It is located at Bärengasse 2 mins walk from Paradeplatz.

Etwas versteckt ist das Kaffeehaus, aber an super zentraler Lage. In den letzten Wochen war ich öfters mal irgendwo auf einen Kaffee. Dieser hier, also der Espresso, ist einer der besten in Zürich! Klein, rund, hübsch, wenig Säure, schöne Crema... auf Nachfrage wurde verraten, dass es sich um Kaffeebohnen von Stoll (kleines Unternehmen in Zürich) handelt.

Sehr schönes, luftig eingerichtetes und gemütliches Kaffee mit vielen unterschiedlichen Sitzgelegenheiten. Kleine Mittagskarte mit schmackhaftem Angebot wie zB Quiche mit Gorgonzola und Birnen, dazu Salat. Oder Gemüsesuppe, Toast, Hacktäschli...Selbst gebackener Kuchen, sehr guter Cappuccino !Sehr nette und freundliche Bedienungen. Eine schöne, ruhige Auszeit vom Trubel und Schikimiki am Paradeplatz

Beautiful place near Paradeplatz with a charming intimate décor. The furniture is very nice, very cosy and kind of antic chic. There are 4 rooms including one beside the bar that is quite intimate with a sofa just for two near a fire place and a window door, there are some books and magazine on display. They serve drinks, food, yummy cakes! We went there on a Thursday evening and some guys were playing music, kind of jazz, blues style. I definitely recommend this place for a drink between friends, a quick lunch, if you are after somewhere where you want to read the newspapers etc.

Kaffeehaus zur Weltkugel is located just a few blocks from Paradeplatz. The complex is part café/bar with seating at the bar and at least two other rooms of sofa seating, wooden chairs and more sofas. The building also hosts a Volkschule and music venue. During the students break, they pretty much take over the counter bar stools and if you are lucky you may even hear them having a sing-a-long. They have free, unsecured Wi-Fi. The staff was very friendly and helpful during my visit. They have breakfast, lunch specials, hot/cold and alcoholic beverages. I had a tea (4.80CHF) served with a cookie. The restrooms were clean.

I am a regular for coffees with colleagues at its located a couple of blocks away from the office, and i decided to test their lunch offering.Went with a colleague and we took the "salad of the day". That came nicely presented with some hot fried cheese. Salad was a mixed salad: proper salad, raddish, carrot, tomatoes, with melon and also some berries. Quite an ecclectic mix, but it was really good.The place is fantastic, there isn't many tables - probably about 20 places max - which guarantees a cosy atmosphere and the building (probably a listed building) makes this place charming (reminds me of some old restaurants in London).Staff is very helpful, not pushy and speaks good english.The bu...
