Tucked away from majority of tourists, the Kanonesteppel offers traditional Frankfurt cuisine and good local „Appelwoi“. Enjoyed a summer evening in the courtyard with friends enjoying typical Hessisch delicacies. NB: they only take cash and no ATMs near!

In order to experience a typical gasthaus you have to go to sachsenhausen. We called Friday and we got luckily a seat for saturday! Excellent typical food in an ancient pub crowded and noisy, with shared tables, with many locals of all ages. Cheaper than...all gasthaus near romer. We strongly recommend it!

And good fun!! Crowded, noisy: exactly as we hope; had a laugh with the people joining us on our table. Surprised at one one bottled beer being available, and decided the copiously supplied specialty apple wine wasn’t really my taste: it clearly fueled the regulars...nicely, though!! Service good for such a fun place, and all the food excellent. Good value, too. We’ll be back!!

This is a typical place where food is severed the same way in the good old days. We had the apple wine, which is home made and it was pleasantly great .... The food was simply marvellous and value for money ... If you happen...to be Frankfurt, don’t miss this place. It’s a must eat place . go through a building tunnel to get to an inside courtyard where they can eat on long tables outside. also the interior seats on benches look good. we had a traditional meal, a lot of meat (sausage, pork, ham,) kartoffeln, sour herb, and washed with apples...Win really a pleasant meal when we visited in the mai, many native I also think. this is one of the better places for a traditional meal.

I booked a table in this restaurant well in advance as i had guests in ffm who wanted to try a typical restaurant: as soon as we entered the place no one greeted, they simply ignored us and let us wait 10 mins before approaching...us. Reservation was lost and as the place was booked out no possibility to get a table ....dinner was ruined and not a nice situation for my guests. I’ll never go to this restaurant again!!

Questo è un luogo tipico in cui il cibo viene reciso allo stesso modo nei bei vecchi tempi. Avevamo il vino Apple, che è fatto a casa ed è stato piacevolmente fantastico ... Il cibo era semplicemente meraviglioso e valuta il denaro ... Se ti capita ... per essere Francoforte, non perdere questo posto. È un posto da mangiare. Prova le loro patate fritte, che arriva in piccole dimensioni circolari ... è semplicemente il labbro che schiaffeggia il bene .. Visualizza piatti
