"You sit here beautifully among the great chestnuts with a wide view of the sunset in the west. There are 2 or 3 old wooden benches I prefer, because at these thin plastic chairs of modern time in beautiful green or white I do not find the greatest favor. There are yellow plastic blankets and colorful seat cushions. On the tables there are small gasoline lamps that are illuminated before sunset. That was very imposing me. For a hiking or cycling holiday or at the end of the day you can probably come here and cook. The children's playground in the beer garden is also very beautiful. There are also foreign rooms here that I have not seen. There was a very tasty blood sausage with fried bacon cubes, sour cabbage and potatoes. The part was not big, but it was probably wounded. My friend ordered the oven or film potatoes with quark or yogurt gurke and salad. The large potato in aluminium foil sponge (Foil Set after the likely warming in the microwave) tasted very well. The quark was a bit. The salad from gurke, paprika and iceberg salad in a light yogurt dressing came quite sweet. There is a very extensive, very wide menu with many dishes that look like industrial prefabrication. Das Essen ist in den letzten 3 Jahren schlimmer geworden. Waren das letzte Mal im Sommer da und werden es nie wieder besuchen. Kleiner Tipp, bevor man sich was zu Essen bestellt, lieber mal genauer hinsehen

Sit out there while the kids could play and climb. We enjoyed it very much. The typical dishes of East German cuisine may not be made from fresh ingredients, but tastefully it was OK, especially as the service was good.

Warum denn in die Ferne schweifen.... gestern Abend lag das Gute so nah. Wir saßen gemütlich draußen und wurden super nett und aufmerksam bedient. Das Essen war bei uns 5 durchweg mega lecker, alles frisch und liebevoll angerichtet. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und werden den Kastanienhof gern bei Freunden und Bekannten weiter empfehlen.

Bin sehr enttäuscht. Vor Jahren konnte man dort noch richtig gut essen. Heute, bei einem Geschäftsessen, bekamen wir nur lieblos angerichtete Teller hingestellt !!! Ohne ein bitteschön oder ein Danke. Das Essen, ein Grillteller für 19,90 €, war stark Salzlastig und fürs Auge eine glatte vier Minus. Leider kann ich dieses Restaurant nicht weiterempfehlen.
