"Had a really lovely lunch here last sunday. The roast was very good and well cooked (and im extremely fussy). Big portions, lots of very fresh and not soggy greens, lashings of gravy and good quality meat. The desserts were delicious!!! As an F&B owner myself i know how hard it is to find staff at the moment but the whole team were great. We particularly loved the new owner who we had the pleasure of meeting when he showed us the rooms (they looked lovely too, very clean and nice attention to detail). Thanks all and we will be back ! Vegetarian options: My uncle loved his roast mushroom dish! Kid-friendliness: No one seemed to mind my very lpud toddler! Food: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"The food at the restaurant was good and reasonably priced for the area. The service was decent, with a friendly server, but there was a mix-up with the order - I ordered a beef danshak but received a lamb danshak instead. This was not a problem for me as I enjoy lamb. However, my mother-in-law ordered a medium curry and found it to be too spicy. Some extras were added to the bill, but when questioned, it was explained that it was a mistake due to touch screen issues. Despite some minor issues, the response was good and the staff were trying their best. The restaurant is small and located near the toilets, with the door constantly being left open by customers. However, overall I would still consider coming back and would recommend it to others."

"We were pleasantly surprised by the unexpected top-notch kitchen at this restaurant. They offer interesting and fresh options that rival the quality of higher-end establishments. We highly recommend trying the fish of the day, as it won't disappoint. The restaurant has a unique character with low beams, candlelight, taxidermy, trinkets, and attentive staff. We were staying at a nearby Glamping spot and were impressed by the quality and atmosphere of this restaurant."

"Hmmm, so...if you 're gonna advertise bacon as being crispy (this was with the brie and 'crispy ' bacon jacket potato) then please can it be that instead of pink and barely cooked...seriously, it was NOT crispy and then quite expensive... Secondly, bought a top as a gift for someone and it was on a L hanger...got home and the top is XL...so now that means ANOTHER trip back to change it. Really annoying trip. On a positive nice, some of the staff were lovely."

"We went for lunch but were told they don't do lunch on Mondays and Tuesdays doesn't say this on their website) but that we could choose something from the sandwich menu. We opted for a roasted veg and pesto and a ham, tomato chutney and goats cheese sandwich option was sandwich or ciabatta but only sandwiches were available.Around 25 minutes later the food arrived we were the only customers and it was revolting! The ham was suspiciously warm and rather grey around the edges, the bit of salad was well past its best with slimy green bits in and everything was made with bits of dry toast! It was inedible and we did complain when asked if the food was alright. Was not expecting to have to pay for the food as we couldn't eat it, but were still charged 50%.The whole place seemed to be run by a young lad who was having to do everything, but I'm not sure he had the skills to be preparing food! He tried to be helpful but didn't know what to do when we said the food was not good. At least he made a good latte!"
