"we had breakfast and lunch at this beautiful place. very nice restaurant with a wonderful view. the personal is also beautiful. very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about eating. veganism is very well understood and ingredients are discussed with the kitchen if necessary. we ordered vegan heggis and a lentil short. everything was high quality and very fresh. fresh pumpkin and kale in curry; great! coffee was also very good."

the hotel is located in new management from early 2022. we were overnight in the mai 2022 and only vegan hearty option was a curry, no sweet option. there was avocado and tomaten on toast (but no need to ask for an egg). there was a vegetarian pasta dish. avo on toast was not especially unforgettable.

We walked down to the hotel from the carpark and as it was open thought that it would be rude not to call in for a beverage. Peter the bar manager was very welcoming and friendly the bar was warm as the log burner was lit we will definitely call back again next year.
