Molto buon pesce, il risotto con granchio era delizioso e anche la polenta con tonno e ottimi funghi. Ambiente accogliente e creativo, personale cordiale. Grazie per la fantastica serata!

The host is there for a reason. Let them guide you through the night and suggested a menu. This is a fish affair. Simple and delicate with good balance of taste. I had the antipasti choices. It was very good I enjoy it. Vermentino wine was a good choice. Price is right for the quality. Next time I will try the fish barbeque.

Ho cenato qui due volte durante un soggiorno di nove giorni a Bocca di Magra (27 giugno - 6 luglio). La prima occasione è stata il buffet di pesce, che viene servito ogni venerdì. Un buffet eccezionale con antipasti e contorni. Il pesce alla griglia veniva servito ai tavoli, il che significava che tutti gli ospiti potevano gustare un po' di tutto e in abbondanza. Per ogni portata, veniva offerto almeno un bis. Alla mia seconda cena ho provato un menu degustazione, che era ancora meglio del buffet. Vorrei soprattutto menzionare lo chef Alberto e sua moglie Maria, che hanno fatto tutto il possibile per far sentire gli ospiti a proprio agio e soddisfatti.

Our friend recommended us that place and it was worth of visit. To start we took antipastos of squid and mashed potatoes. Then we got our regal; spaghetti alla vongole!!! It was just perfect. Only disappointment was that we asked big portions as a main course and we got small starter plates. I know that italians are used to eat pasta as a starter... we scandinavians no ; . Anyway, we enjoyed our place in a sun, nice view towards marina and Carrara marble mountains I was chocked that they also proposed at Antipasteria Setti Archi to our kids to have some polpettini and I accepted it expecting to have some meatballs. Other restaurants in bocca might have a more elegant dining area, waiters with white shirts, bigger wine glasses and other things commonly associated with fine dining. However when it comes down to perfectly prepared Italian dishes, sometimes with a well imagined twist, and the surprising presentation, this restaurant was my favourite for the week. Not just that, the host also went an extra mile for us. Unsure whether they did fried potatoes she told us she would ask about it, and we got a plate of thinly sliced fried potatoes cuts, just thick enough not to be called chips. Delicious.
