"We went for lunch and we were a bit disappointed that it was under a new management since Sep. 2013. The manager is Mr. Pino, formerly for many years in "Quatre Seasons" also in Montreux.The cafè part is standard decoration and the dining room is clean and neat. We had no reason to worry, as it later showed.When we asked what choices of bottles of red wine were available the waiter brought out 4 bottles to choose from. We selected a Cornavin 2012 from the Vallée at CHF 39. (The owner later recommended a Merlot from Ticino for next time we visit).There was a Festival du Pates, with 6 interesting pastas on offer and we chose the Tortellini Bettina (Safran sauce, Ham and Cream). We shared a half portion for the two of us (CHF14). Luckily so, as it was a huge portion and one of the best pastas we have ever tasted! Perfectly 'al dente', perfectly balanced between the safran and ham...really nice, and we could have left right there and then...happy.Besides the Pastas, the menu is pretty standard. We were told the menu is being revised.We then had Filets de Perche (CHF 24). This was prepared with Olive Oil, Lemon and fresh Parsley and unusually served with a tasty Spinach, prepared in the same way. The French Fries were perfect (not a hint of old oil near them).Mr. Pinot came out to accept our compliments for a good meal and offered us a Limoncello with our coffee. The only "negative" was the coffee (Denko), which needs to be improved to make this a meal on top of the scale. The bill was CHF 108...and we will certainly be back!"

Quaint, small Italian restaurant that specializes in simple foods. Great menu and excellent flavors. The manager (Mario) is a gem and truly brings joy to this experience. Highly recommend.

allthough this resto was advised by locals it was a bit dissapointing. the food was not that good and expensive for the quality given. it was more the bar for the local alcoholics then a nice restaurant.

This place was completely fantastic!! The food was perfect! We had a truffle pasta and lasagna, both great! The service was extremely good! Happy, friendly and funny Italian owner. We had good laughs and a very good time! Would definitely go back!

We really thought that we wouldn't find any place open to get food at 10pm close to our hotel in the old town. (bus line shut down at 8:30) We came upon La Corsaz and they rolled out the red carpet for us. Despite language barriers, we were able to communicate about pasta and beverages. The pasta was plentiful and hot. The staff was caring and the service good.

Mario and his friendly staff will delight you with their homemade pasta and pizza, delicious meat and fish dishes, excellent salads and homemade desserts. Top quality and wonderful flavours! You'll feel very welcome and want to return again.

We stumbled upon this place while exploring Montreux. We weren't sure what to expect as the outside undersells the place. I had the pasta with mussels and the sauce was incredible, I wanted to lick the bowl! My husband ordered steak and it was cooked to perfection. Our waiter was very helpful too! We would recommend this place for anyone looking for a local experience and great food.

We found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and walked from our hotel to vieux Montreux to find it. It is in a quiet street above the town and looks quite unremarkable from the outside, more like a cafe than a restuarant. We were warmly welcomed by the patron and served by a very polite waitress. Because they didn't have the exact item my wife chose the chef came out and discussed the menu with us. The food was excellent; I had perch, which was real tasty. After the meal the patron sat with us and discussed our travels and his - he is from Italy. Altogether it was a very agreeble experience.

The restaurant located in a residential area, and the staff dont know how to speak English. We try to communicate with hand language and by guessing. The staffs were very very friendly and nice even we had language barrier. We ordered salad, filet of perch, and the chef special pasta. The pasta portion was really big and was really yummy! We were really surprise abt the portion and it was only 18.5 CHF with such a big portion. The filet of perch was delicious as well, very soft, and fresh! Overall we paid around 59.9 CHF, which is the cheapest meal we had in Switzerland. I think it was because we didn't order wine, and other expensive stuff.
